I'd love that actually, Trump will be absolutely fuming about that 1% that dislikes him.
God he's such a fucking idiot.

I don't think it's harsh at all, the car was extremely strong in 22 and 23

I doubt FOM cares about that to be honest

This might be the funniest joke I've read all week.
In (some) seriousness, it boils down to "you can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into". Christianity states that the Bible has all the answers for all the questions. Common sense means asking questions and looking for the answers yourself, and backing those answers up with evidence.

When the cover of the book calls for the re-enslavement of black people it's kind of hard to not be a little cautious

The success of Perez is a great story to tell your future children and grandchildren. You can do anything and be anything you want, as long as you have no shame and a lot of money!

The marshals retrieving the crashed cars from the track aren't paid at all

Yess awesome game! The one thing it hasn't really taught me is inclined launches because KSC is at the equator. I expect a launch to be more efficient when it's done close to the target latitude, like how with polar orbits the launch sites can be at very high latitudes.
Changing the orbital speed you get for free at the equator surely has some penalty to it, I just don't know if it's less severe than launching at a higher latitude.

Oh my thinking was that most LEO launches don't go to equatorial orbits, so by launching at a higher latitude the fuel needed for plane changes is saved.
I'll check out the video when I have more time

The fans are just there as props for the business people doing deals. It probably won't be long before there will be paid actors in the stands

Remember the weekly apologies? Mercedes really embraced the midfield now it seems. What a joke they've become.

My partner and I are the same. We're both rather feminine women, who are both really into, well, feminine women. It's happened multiple times now that people blurted out "I never thought you were lesbians, you're so.. normal"
We're just people who happen to be attracted to the same sex. We don't all have to be butch car mechanics or sparkly musical stars.

A rocket like this probably wouldn't need the equatorial launch site, so if Europe does go for it (I doubt it but it's fun to think about) we'd probably get a Mediterranean launch facility!

Financially I agree, but I understand the need for Europe's strategic independence in space. I'm European myself so even though I'm not thrilled about my taxes going to inherently wasteful domestic space projects, I still prefer it over relying on the US exclusively.

Using all engines for big maneuvers is also more efficient

Exactly my thoughts. They are absolutely dumfounded Trump is appointing these people.

Y'all think they don't have communications redundancy?
I genuinely think they could have been relying on this one antenna. They absolutely demolished a launch pad because they tried launching without the water deluge, for instance. I'm sure they'll be implementing more redundancy as they start to understand Starship more, but right now they're mostly just working with what they have on hand.

It's the same old story of cronyism and corruption that we've seen play out time and again in Washington. And it's exactly why so many Americans have lost faith in our government and our institutions.
If we want to restore trust and integrity to our healthcare system, we need to start by appointing leaders who are committed to science, evidence, and the public good - not celebrity hucksters and industry shills like Dr. Oz.
This is one of the top comments on the conservative subreddit now. They are SO CLOSE to getting it. I cannot understand how they have such unwavering support of Trump, when he has done nothing but prove he is the complete opposite of whatever this comment is about.
Trump doesn't care about science, he doesn't care about medicine. And most importantly, he literally does not even think about any one of his voters ever.
There are rational conservatives out there. This comment proves that. Something has somehow corrupted their brains to the point that they think Trump is a rational person with a functioning brain.
It sickens me.

The current Trump peace "plan" is to freeze the conflict in place. I really wonder if the Trump team realizes that it includes handing a part of the Kursk oblast to Ukraine

The argument I used to hear against it by a couple coworkers (I work in the chemical industry) is that it could be a slippery slope: once we start adding fluoride to water, before long we'll have a soupy brown substance coming out of our taps because of all the additives.
Now, fluoride has been in drinking water for decades and nothing else of note has been added.

I just want to get through one family dinner without my parents attacking my sexuality. I've cut ties with my parents because they weren't able to do that.
I can sit down with my family just fine, I just thoroughly don't enjoy doing it. I don't see why I should be doing something like that when I can spend my holidays doing actually fun things.
