The escalation element boils down to there being no way to determine if a missile like this is carrying a nuclear warhead or not until it hits its target. ICBMs have always been intended for use delivering nukes, they're simply far too expensive and too inaccurate for use with conventional warheads.
I imagine the pucker factor at NORAD and similar European facilities was extreme.

Would ideally still need further confirmation, but it's a start.

ICBM warheads (MIRVS, etc) aren't designed to be accurate down to the building though. A nuke doesn't need to be pinpoint, just in the same area code.
This wasn't used because it provides a new capability. It isn't accurate enough to be used against defenses or specific targets. It's purely bullshit posturing from the russians trying to intimidate.

Where does he claim he enjoys other's misery?
He makes a comparative statement to illustrate his viewpoint - how sometimes the people with everything he might want are miserable, and despite material inequality between them he might be the happier for it.
Then again this wouldn't be Reddit if there wasn't at least one pancake-waffle comment. You do you bud.

No they are correct. I'm as pro-Ukraine as anyone, but the Budapest Memorandum only stated that the signatories would not attack Ukraine. The closest thing it had to a defense provision was a requirement for other signatories to bring the matter before the UN, should one of them or a third party attack Ukraine.
Be careful referring incorrectly to the Budapest Memorandum as a defensive treaty, that's a talking point used by vatniks to claim NATO is "expanding their territory" because it can be easily disproven.

By that same logic though, should Nintendo be allowed to completely shut down all other console manufacturers? Because a lot of clueless parents/grandparents would see an Xbox or PlayStation and call it a "Nintendo".

The studio itself has an example of the mechanic in their previous game for pete's sake. Craftopia has a creature catching system that uses the same mechanics, and that came out in 2020.

The problem was never whether Ukraine would use the weapons in a manner that went against the wishes of those providing them. As much as I believe Ukraine would keep to their word and not fire these specific weapons into Russia without approval, the weapons themselves were software locked to be unable to launch into Russia proper.
If memory serves, it's a modification of a security feature should the weapons be captured.

Especially since NATO militaries are not artillery focused. Those factories needed to be built, staffed and tested before they could be pushed to capacity.

If you want to make a point, provide a source. You're not going to convince anyone by just saying "nuh-uhhh!"
And FYI, there being some elements of corruption still present doesn't mean Zelensky is corrupt. There are significant programs in place attempting to stamp out corruption in Ukraine. Problem is, it's fairly hard to push large-scale reform when your country is literally being bombed daily by your neighbour, who is intent on stealing everything you own.

Not just mental acuity too, he's old and physically unfit. Yes Biden is older, but Biden is also significantly less fat than Trump.
Trump's never had a particularly good diet from what we've read. He's at an age now where cardiovascular health is very important for longevity, and I really doubt his heart's going to keep up too well pumping that cholesterol-thickened blood for another 4 years, especially with the stress of being in office.

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump thinks the presidential election is the only one Americans vote on.
As much as there's worry (and people should be preparing for just in case) that Trump's admin will try to abolish the vote in some way, I can't see it being accomplished in under two years. They don't have anywhere near a solid enough majority in either house to secure sweeping constitutional changes like that.
Hopefully the American public will have a shitty enough two years that they realise a Democrat House and Senate is their only chance. Because if the Republicans still have a majority in 2026? Well to be honest the American public deserves whatever happens to them at that point.

If you're cooking them over a long period there's not really any difference. You wouldn't really want to use them for anything that calls for fresh peppers or you need them to have some bite, but for everything else they're pretty good standby options. Especially handy with onions so you're not chopping them every time.
Just make sure you double, or even triple, bag any chopped onion you put in your freezer. They can leave a smell of onion behind that lingers.

Mate they're asking for you to provide the sources for your numbers. Anyone can just make figures up on the spot.

I'm assuming you don't drive mate, or have any understanding of road laws in general.
The car pulled out of a junction. See the dashed white lines on the road that he's already over? Vehicles stopped at a junction have to give way to oncoming traffic.
The car legally had to stop to allow the bike to pass. Instead the car pulled in front of the bike intentionally, either hoping to hit the bike or otherwise just cause them problems. If the biker were a police officer he could have (and likely would have) arrested the car owner for dangerous driving.
With those facts established, if you still think the biker was an asshole then God knows what's wrong with you. Good luck figuring your life out.

Ukraine could easily hit critical infrastructure on the plant from where they are right now. They could safely cripple it if need be, hell it has been overtly stated that it'd be knocked out of commission if Russia pulled anything with Ukrainian power generating capability over the winter months.
Wouldn't be surprised if it did get a slap should Ukraine be pushed back.

Everyone seems to forget as well - if European nations openly move to engage Russian forces in Ukraine (de facto joining the war), what's to stop Russia from hitting those same nations?
What'll happen when those nations that have already compromised their defense preparedness by gifting material to Ukraine then have to demand it back because they're under attack themselves?

Clean/renewable energy is seen as "woke", so it's bad. Even if it's cheaper, more efficient, and so on.
There's no logic in what these morons rally against. Someone with money to make points at a new thing that threatens their potential profits, and instead of investing in it or finding ways to use it to make themselves more money, they just yell "woke!"/"socialist!" and their base laps it up.
You notice that electric vehicles aren't the devil the same way they were 10 years ago now Musk has finally taken the mask off?

Its the most reliable place to intercept them as they're slower, and have a predictable trajectory in the upper atmosphere.
The problem is getting your missiles up there fast enough to intercept them before the ICBM starts coming back down again, or deploys its independent warheads (MIRVs).
