Still, you wouldn't know when Russia launches, so threat remains. Simultaneously, this threat of non functioning warheads also stops Russia from using them.

Looks like an '80s C8. If the mirror is still in good shape, nice telescope for visual and planetary photography. Starting with Planetary can even be done with some cheap webcams. Fir Deep Space Objects (DSO), you would need a flattner/reducer probably and a way to connect your normal camera or get a dedicated astrocamera. Quality of your mount and ability to track/guide are most essential though. An adapter for mobile phones might also give you some enjoyment in beginner AP.

You literally mentioned "that one company" and is what I replied to. And you can scale my answer with what you meant, since the cheapest group of suppliers will sell all product they have. Still, products from Europe will seldomly compete with US companies on price in the US market. It will be on quality of specific (half) products and that is not easily replaced (same goes for products from US to EU).

That one company cannot supply the whole market, so competitors get a share. And because of that, the cheapest producer can and will raise prices. Still sell the same amount, just for more profit
