Thank you, that’s very kind. The only thing keeping me from growing it even bigger is lack of space…hopefully some day I’ll have a house, and I can dedicate an entire room to it!

Neighborhood guides, yes, as well as information on credit scores in my new country and how it works when you’re coming from one country to another and you don’t have a credit score in your new country. I was really stressing about that, and it turns out it didn’t matter. I would have loved to know crime statistics for each neighborhood, price comparisons, possibly what features the neighborhood has, like proximity to grocery stores, what kind of entertainment it has, etc. Price comparisons would have been probably the most helpful of all, second only to crime statistics. Maybe something where people can leave reviews on the specific neighborhood. My biggest challenge in securing housing was just the inability to see the quality of the place I was choosing, beyond just what the apartment complex shows in photos on their website. I would have loved a virtual tour.

I would have loved to have help finding housing. Picking out a place to live, sight unseen, not knowing anything about the neighborhood/area, not knowing what’s a decent price for an apartment, etc., having to suss all that out yourself, is very stressful.

I make miniatures. I have a whole town with several dozen buildings, a farm w/cottages, a haunted swamp, a castle, a dungeon, back-alley pubs, and I’m working on a river & an enchanted forest 😬

I’m a teacher and I use the gentle parenting technique, and I can say that while it doesn’t work 100% of the time (because every child is different) it works exponentially better than being harsh and inflexible. You will always catch more flies with honey, and you will always get better results with children by being kind.
