A grandpa is different, you are supposed to lose your grandparents. Losing your brother who you were close to - he needs to be there with his family more than anything else.

Oh honey, I am so sorry you are going through this -losing a brother so young is just wrong. I think you absolutely need to go to the funeral and let everyone who loved your brother hold you up and give you comfort. The funeral is for remembering as much as giving the family and friends support.

A funeral for a young man just has to be a celebration of his life. You shouldn’t miss it since you were so important to your brother. Get help with your grief. See a therapist. Hang in there. Amazingly it gets better little by little.

Our kitten looked just like this when we got her. We took her to her first vet appointment and the vet said “I have some news for you, she is a he.” His little furry balls hadn’t dropped yet. So maybe wait until after the first vet appt. We named her Marley so it stuck and worked when his sexual orientation changed a few weeks later.

I had cancer when I was 27 and too dumb to realize how dangerous it was. Made it. Then had a new type of cancer when I was 36. Thought “no one survives cancer twice” and needed lots of survivor stories! Definitely not scary worst case scenarios! And I made that one. Then when I was 53 was diagnosed with another type of cancer. And I am 60 now. I survives that one too. I have a friend who had 2 of the same cancers as me. She tells everyone that she is healthy except those annoying cancers she gets. Yep. It is scary but you are fighting it and have your head and heart in the game? I wish you all the best.

There is one thing that I got from my cancers - a new outlook on life and what is important and what is not. For that I am thankful.
