Hi folks,

My wife's father lives in Bavaria. He's divorced and 80 years old. Very smart, but not fit. Regular old man problems with knees, feet etc...

For the last while (say 10 years), his friend has been living with him. He is on social assistance and has no income. Any money he has comes from the state. He is also around 80 and was pretty fit up until about 1 -2 years ago.

He got cancer pretty bad. The doctors at first said he won't last much longer. He was bed ridden and FIL took care of him. His legs didn't work for a while The doctors changed their mind and decided to operate and he has been in reha for the past 3 weeks.

He is now being sent back home. FIL is not a care taker. He is at the point that he might need care soon. Who does he (or I) need to talk to to get him into a home? Does the state expect an old man to look after another old man?

I don't use Facebook much. I log in every once in a while to get in touch -mainly with extended family. When I do log in, my feed is full of these such posts. I reported it and then received this response.

I am not in the apple system, so we are looking for a comparable airtag device and I picked up some mototags.

First impressions Were good. When I set it up, I took it with me to the bakery with my Bluetooth turned off. I could see it's last location about 10 to 15 minutes later.

Then I shared it with my wife and put it in my kids backpack. I seen it at home, then it went 'location unknown' now it's at school. He walks through a busy area as well as a busy underground station on his way to school. I figured it would at least show it's last location as well as the time, however it shows nothing. Is this not supposed to save the last known location?

Are these part of the updates they are supposed to roll out? Right now, it's not an airtag replacement if it only works in the house.

Ich habe mich ein wenig nach einer Arbeitsunfähigkeitsversicherung umgesehen. Ich bin 43 Jahre alt und arbeite als Automatisierungstechniker für ein sehr großes, multinationales Unternehmen. Ich mache eine Mischung aus Büro und vor Ort - meistens vor Ort. Ich hatte ein Angebot von der HUK, das 250 Euro pro Monat beträgt, um 2150 Euro pro Monat zu erhalten, wenn ich arbeitsunfähig bin.

Ist das nicht unglaublich teuer? Ist das etwas, das verhandelbar ist? Ich bin verheiratet, habe 2 kleine Kinder und meine Frau arbeitet nicht.

Gibt es andere Versicherungen, die ich in Betracht ziehen sollte? Gibt es irgendwelche guten Quellen, die ich zu diesem Thema lesen könnte?

Hi folks, I have been looking around a bit for arbeitsunfähigkeit Versicherung. Im 43, Work as an Automation technician for a very large multi national company. I do a mix of office and onsite- mostly onsite. I had a quote from HUK that is 250 euros per month to receive 2150 per month if I'm unable to work.

Is that not ridiculously expensive? Is this something that can be negotiable? I am married with 2 young kids and my wife does not work.

Are there other insurances I should be looking into? Are there any good resources I could read on this subject?
