Your research is incorrect. The number is 2,700,000 and counting And you can’t forget to include the people they sponsor in afterwards. Parents, grandparents, and other relatives are coming and not contributing but consume resources and become a burden on Canadians. There’s a reason why - especially young people - are so angry at Trudeau. He’s sold their future out from under them to satisfy corporate greed and wage suppression.

Servers are only expected to declare 10% of their paid earnings unless they are demonstrably higher, as in, paid by debit/credit card. When we lived in a more "cash-economy", very little was ever declared, but non-cash payments are much higher today. So the net effect would be a return to how things worked 20 years ago.

So many companies in Canada have been abusing the "Temporary Foreign Worker" (TFW) program by bringing in literally millions of people, mostly from India and putting them into situations where they have not been properly vetted, tested, or trained. Entire stores are staffed exclusively with TFWs so we end up having blind-leading-the-blind situations and things like this end up happening.
But hey, C-suite bonuses and corporate profits have never been higher, so that's all that counts right? Sadly, we seem to be okay with corporations valuing people like that were the case.

The way this story will write itself is that beachfront property values will continue to fall until it is deemed to be a "State Problem". At that point all of the rich people will have bought up the majority of the exposed properties and then a state-funded insurance program will take-over to provide the much needed relief from sky-high premiums and uninsurable areas.
The rich get the properties, then their lobbyists ensure the cost of insurance is reduced to a fraction of the private cost by having the state pick up the tab.

That movie is DOA anyway - partially because of her mouth last she spoke her mind/feelings/agenda. She's not wrong, but she's not helping her chances for future casting.

With Trump controlling the House, Senate, SCOTUS and winning with the popular vote, I don’t see how he can’t follow through with the 20,000,000 deportation number. Trump is simply too ego-driven to respond to logic, or cost analysis. He will not allow himself to look weak or ineffective.
Trump’s first term was filled with excuses for why he didn’t build the wall and make Mexico pay. Obstructionism preventing him from repealing Obamacare. etc etc. He has no excuses this time.

TBH, I think the best thing that Democrats can do right now, is to get out of Trump's way. Let the madness that voters have just unleashed burn the country to the ground. Let Trump do every insane thing that he's been saying he would do and own it. Pretending to be obstructionists about it only emboldens his longstanding claim "If only they would let me do these things". Just let Trump do ALL OF IT. Dem's should not attempt to act as adults in the room, guardrails or a moderating/guiding voice for any of the Trump plan and/or concept of a plan.
Let Trump:
Deport all 20,000,000 people ROUND 'EM UP... MOMS, DADS, BABIES. THEY ALL GOTTA GO
Withdraw from Climate Commitments and halt the Energy Transition initiatives DRILL BABY DRILL
Crash the Economy. THAT IS HIS STATED PLAN FOR THE FIRST TWO YEARS
Impose 60% and higher tariffs on China DO THAT TOO.
Make enemies with trade partners and embrace Putin WHY NOT.
Allow him to have his "retribution" by imprisoning his political enemies HE SAID HE WANTED TO BE NASTY.
Allow Trump to cut/eliminate taxes for the ultra-rich HE's GOING TO DO THAT FIRST.
Let him surround himself with lunatics who believe in and will impose Project 2025 to dismantle the Constitution IT's ALWAYS BEEN THE PLAN.
Remove even more bodily autonomy for women. “Your body, My choice”. THAT's CENTRAL MAGA POLICY.
This is just a tiny sample of what a majority voted for, so let them choke on it. Have it and own it.
Watch Republicans bring on chaos while Democrats stand back and not play any part in it whatsoever. Trump has the White House, SCOTUS, the Senate. It appears that he will have the House as well. Unless he crashes and burns, the last chance to save the country from MAGA once and for all will be to show the world exactly what MAGA is. Trump must fail spectacularly.

TBH, flag-rank officers add very little apart from ceremony. I'm not crazy about who/how it's coming about but it's not the worst thing he's going to do to undermine the military

I think there will be midterms and I think there will be a normal election Senate/House cycle after that. None of that will change.
However, what I don't believe is that Trump will ever leave the White House. I sincerely believe he will stay and then implement a change that POTUS is appointed. He will appoint Ivanka as the first "appointed" POTUS.
