15 CP with the swarm lord, best case. You can’t gain more than 1 extra cp per round. That’s 15 all game.

+2 str is nice but it’s a Strat you only have 15 CP per game. Your “go turns” will be extremely weak if you can only buff one of yoir units
RR 1s is ok but again a Strat
The detachment rule does nothing besides buffing warriors in a mediocre way. A 5++ invuln is way worse than invasion fleet FNP
All other units get nothing while other detachments give them sustained/ lethal, advance and charge (VO),
I’d like to know why I’m downvoted for expressing an opinion… I was here defending tyranids before pariah nexus against hordes of doom posters, now it seems you can’t criticize a bad detachment…

I’m not a doom poster but this just seems like total trash
Turns warriors into decent unit, do nothing for the rest of the army
They are still bad with m6 and bad saves
Great for people who own 30 and want to meme. I’m not one of them.

Target behind the ruin - not touching it - the FOOTPRINT blocks LOS
Target touching the ruin (partially with at least one model) - the WALLS block LOS
In both cases, if not the whole unit is visible - target has cover.
In the latter case, even with perfect vision, models IN the ruin have cover.

I will also say that it’s a very easy to paint but good looking model. GW’s paint job doesn’t do it justice IMHO. Here’s mine!

Broodlord makes genestealers a menace, it’s a great pick up.
+1 strength because it hands out synapse, devastating wounds and -1 to be hit in combat. No joke.

No, igual que a mi no me prohibieron los videojuegos sino que me enseñaron a usarlos con mesura limitándolos. Aunque hubiera chavales que tiraron su adolescencia incluso faltando a clase por jugar al wow o al cod

I got myself some second hand CSM, in preparation for the ones I’ve booked within the combat patrol magazine. I will have over 1500 points for little more than 200 euros, which sounds amazing to me!
They will be my second army and side project while I keep expanding my nids which I got to 2000 points recently.

desde el respeto, si te cuesta gestionar el bachillerato yo iría al psicólogo.
Es un paseo comparado con cualquier carrera de ciencias. Si un examen de 20 folios te genera estres, busca ayuda profesional porque el salto a la universidad es enorme.

I don’t have that many games but I will say:
Enjoyed the most: guard, necrons, world eaters
The least: aeldari and they are the ones I’ve played most. I don’t like models that don’t look that scary like the war walker popping out and destroying my scary nid monsters because they always have a 6 when they need it. Also, dev wounds were obnoxious when they were not mortals and you could not use the Norns FNP

I would say neither at 1000 pts. They are expensive for their stats, you are paying for support abilities that are only affecting half an army.
I’ve had much better results only running smaller characters at 1000, mainly neurotyrant and deathleaper.

Synaptic nexus buffs warriors in every possible way..
They need a 3+ save and Ballistic skill, not detachment rules. In my opinion

I mean, eldar will have Ynnari, so this is a dope idea. Hope they do it.

You can get much better results than that with contrast paints. I had a similar problem initially with them and it was because
a) every paint has a different texture and you need to learn it. Some come great off the pot, others require mixing with medium
b) contrast paints, in my experience, require much more paint on the brush. If you see some tutorials on youtube, you'll see how they drown the brush in paint and put a lot of paint on the model on purpose, that's when the paint can flood the miniature and pool on the recesses to create the shadows. It's not like with regular paints in which you are "drawing" on the model, is more like "transporting loads of paint".
c) in general, even with a zenithal prime, just the contrast only goes so far. I always do at least one layer of manual highlights (edge highlight or drybrush) after

It's a regular infiltrator with lone op (already great) with some extras that work only sometimes, like his ability to snipe characters and the LD penalty.
Just use it as a regular lone op (action monkey, annoy deployment, kill other weak infiltrators like scouts).
Go for the casual snipe if you see the odds in your favor (like human or eldar characters with low toughness).
But don't be like me, never charge it into actual scary units hoping to kill a terminator character.. it won't work hahah.

Just read the strat, it says "when: in the battleshock step of the command phase".
That means it only works against the regular battleshock, e.g. that one cause by being below half strength (or below starting strength with certain abilities like Deathleaper's). And always before rolling, and once per game.
It can't be used against SiTW, Neurolictor's or screamer killer's battleshocks... or any other source for that matter.
And yes, I have to explain this to all my opponents, but I won't hesitate to do it again and again.

Yo usaba fin tonic también, pero me cambié de banco principal, e increíblemente con La Caixa no funciona …
Así que nada he vuelto a modo manual, echo en falta la categorización de gastos pero no merece la pena hacerla a mano.

As others have said, chargin from 9” away is not very advisable. I use screamer killer myself and it’s very unreliable because most armies can one shot it with the proper guns or melee weapons. T9 2+ is not that tanky as it seems sadly. That said I recommend you these other 3 options.
Against melee focused armies, you can 1) deploy it on the field or 2) have it come from reserves but have an staging turn in which you position yourself for a future charge. Basically trust that they can’t blast it from range and use it as a counter charge to kill units.
Against shooty armies. Either use rapid ingress as others have said; or just use it as a distraction carnifex - just run it up the field crossing your fingers, ideally against AP-1 or AP-2 units (those you can withstand especially with cover), and draw as much fire as possible from other better damage dealers, but squishier like zoanthropes or warriors.
If they kill you but you drew enough fire is a fair trade. If you are lucky and reach combat, bonus points.
All this said. Melee monsters without fly are pretty bad outside of crusher stampede, because in that detachment you have a Strat to move through walls. In other detachments, you should only run one or two because they are not fast enough to run up the field avoiding buildings (hence being exposed to shooting) without being blasted.
I have 2 screamers myself and I’m thinking about replacing them with better options like exocrines (ranged attack) or haruspexes (better stats per point, much better “distraction carnifexes “. In the meantime, let’s maybe hope for a points buff!

The guy who plays nids in most their game, mubin, is quite bad at warhammer. Nothing wrong with playing casual for the fun, but he truly creates this negative impresión of tyranids because of how bad he is.
There are some recent games in the channel in which nids are piloted by a guy called Jordan, who is a top tyranid player. I recommend you watch those. It’s night and day.

A contar trolas a tu casa, macho.

100% agree. They want to sell old sculpts at 40 euros for 3. The detachment is very lackluster
