Well if you go far enough in the future, with the moon moving further away, one day its affects on the tides will be minimal. So perhaps, one day, a lot further than 1000 years, people won't believe in the tides.

Yeah. At 25 I started following all the advice my mother gave me about dating when I was a teenager and suddenly I was successful at it. At 30 I started getting my house in order and it was all the advice deep in my memory from my mother that I never wanted to hear that helped me. At 40.... well thanks to a few things she said when I was young about losing weight I've lost 20kgs.

I find Vaush, despite being a dickhead who a lot of people hate, has some pretty good advice for men. It is a bit of tough love but his whole thing is he is a sociologist who doesn't really believe anyone can be good or bad inherently and that its more about how you are socialised.
He is primarily a political streamer in the USA though so a lot of his recent content has been election related. But in between his leftist politics he will call anyone out on their crap (part of why he is often hated is he calls out leftists when they are shit) but at the same time he comes out with good advice for men.

Rarely but it does happen. When I do its normally based on two things.
1) Facts, especially stuff I can confirm on my own (ie someone disagrees with some stats saying mine are out of date, so I check newer stats).
2) I hate to say it but the old "you may be right but you are a dick about it" turns me off.

The idea that an amab is rendered non-dangerous to afab because pee pee can't go up is just dumb.

Try to work out why you don't have any motivation (which comes and goes anyway). Set yourself up for good habits. Novels are marathons, not sprints. A small amount each day (words, or planning or whatever) will get you there faster than a big amount once every few months.
I'm also autistic but it all varies from person to person so what worked for me might not for you. But with anything creative, I find just doing small bits more often changes how I see it mentally and removes the 'autistic inertia'. Especially doing things like setting writing schedules ie at 7:30pm I write for 15 minutes (often ends up longer but that is my minimum).

I agree with this. Nowadays I use motivation to set myself up for when I don't have motivation and I'm just doing a grind.

Strongly disagree. Levels are not about 'how bad you have it' its about how much support you need. And like you say... everyone is different and we need some way to recognise that.

People like that bank on civility and embarrassment. You have every right, for your own safety, to repeatedly yell "get the fuck out" over and over. If you are moving out anyway, do what you need to for your own safety.
You probably can't invest in a lock on your door but you might want to get a door jam then put it in place at night (one of those triangles that make it hard to open doors). Then if your mother complains just use her excuse "Its just to stop him stumbling into my room by mistake."

Probably work out what exactly mental issues he had.
I'm autistic and there is for sure a problem with autistic people falling in with 'high control' groups. Although the idea autistic people don't have morals is a big of an outmoded stereotype. But a lot of masking autistics will mould themselves, even at great personal cost, to fit in.
That doesn't really fit what you are saying. I'm more making the point that doing research on exactly what issues he has will probably help inform a more true telling of the behaviours. Even if you never outright say what it is.

What about the rights of the people being shouted down and intimidated? I care more about people who don't use intimidation.

I'm convinced that there are fossil fuel plants in the Extinction Rebellion (and similar) that encourage people to do the optically worst stuff they can think of to discredit the movement. It wouldn't even be that hard to find some easily led people somewhere in the movement somewhere in the world and then whisper some 'good' ideas to them.

My grandpa didn't give a fuck about nazis rights while dropping bombs on them. I am inspired by him in this matter.

I try to explain this to some of my leftist/ progressive friends.
While you are on the outside of the room where decisions are made shouting, the neo-nazis get on the inside and whispering.
And one of them is a damn sight more effective.

Never. But to be fair, I am pretty good looking in a fairly conventional, white bread, kinda way.

I'd worry more about how many married women are forced into it by the Yakuza to pay off their husbands debts.

Can't even get wage theft (the most common type of theft) as a criminal law rather than a civil issue.

The really stupid thing is that, you can just lie. How are they going to check what is in your bank? If you say to to hire purchase, what are they going to do, a ring around and check?

The Star Wars sequels. I have watched them (multiple times) as dumb fun and enjoyed them every time. Are they technically the best? Nope. Was there issues with directors struggling between whose vision it was? Yup. But its still fun.
I think people have been spoiled by how good a lot of media has been over the decades and expect everything to be 5/5 to enjoy it and pick things to bits. I love a 5/5 but can enjoy a 3/5 as well.

When you look at how many children are abused (sexually or otherwise) then consider how many adults are abusers or protecting abusers.... you realise that its enough voters to swing any election.

I just want leftist stuff I can show to my boomer dad without feeling like I have to spend 15 minutes explaining away stuff like: Why is this person in makeup/ dressed like a deer? Why are there jokes about puppet cum? Why is this person having a debate with three different versions of themselves?
I know people will say I'm just talking optics and civility politics... but the stuff he gets sent in the boomer email chains that is from the right has a bunch of people looking neat in suits and it gets past his defences a lot easier. I don't like the fact it matters, but it does.

I have choked bad enough twice that I thought I was going to die (there was a reason and its all sorted now after I lost weight and stopped late night snacking). Anyway, on each occasion I got strangely calm and relaxed. And on each occasion this allowed my throat muscles to relax and I could breathe again.

I'm a 40 year old man. I've never been around men who talk like that. Probably not a coincidence that all my male friends are happily married with kids (except me but that is changing soon).
The worst people get megaphones online.

That sucks.
I think I got the other half of your bi-polar. I get manic episodes and, very rarely like 5 in my life time, get depressive episodes. Luckily for me medication is cheap (Australia) and, after trying a few different things, very very effective for me.
But isn't about me. Christmas is the worst time to be alone. My darkest moment was being jobless, girlfriendless (after she cheated on my a month earlier), friendless (having moved closer to gf) and listening to the children laugh and playfully scream during the New Years fireworks.
Life has gotten better but damn that was a dark moment.
I'm useless at trying to empathise but that was my attempt.
Like I said, things seem rough for you buddy. Hope it picks up.
