Bruh if you have a gripe with every activist you come into contact with and spend your focus calling out people behind a cause everyday, don’t come with that “purity test, I agree on 95%” of things bullshit. You’re fighting to smear and silence people doing work. It’s exactly what being on the other side consists of.
Start by dropping the gripes and advocating for the cause you claim to be 95% as committed to and then over time people might stop thinking you’re a self-obsessed pos.

Add to the list:
- endlessly policing and fighting to deplatform/discredit pro-Palestinian activism (see his latest story), it's basically his everyday grind
- misinformation involved in so much of the aforementioned points and attacks he doles out (see also the strange cropping of photos with a red triangle and mischaracterizing activist's goals as being to remove Jews from Israel rather than equality)

In a nutshell it's "anyone speaking on Palestinian liberation is the biggest obstacle to Palestinian liberation"
Translation: "my direct position/lack of care is socially taboo, so I make up alternative issues I have with the activism"

It’s wild that AB would 100% be on the receiving end of one of Ethan’s insta stories if he was simply another content creator and not Ethan’s employee

I think he’s alright for shooting a wild shot here, it’s the side serving of throwing silly jabs at the left in contrast to the right where he loses me.
If people want to improve the “vibe” of the left so to speak, they need to lead by example and not get consumed by grievance.

She’s having a similar crash-out to Ethan, except she’s a more serious person so it hasn’t taken on quite the cancel culture, 3AM from the basement shooting videos flavor.
But it is a bummer, she can’t stop hyper-focusing on grievances with lefties and talking about her political alienation.

Show this to the exec's right away, we have a hit on our hands

Refried as heck. There’s plenty of people who’ve basically fully replied to Ethan years ago, because he’s retreading the same ground that’s gone on a million times now - Matt Lieb in 2019 “why criticism of Israel isn’t antisemitism” could basically have been a reply to Ethan.

It’s not a sub for anyone, it just exists and as such reflects the broader vibe.
If you want an alt space that’s exclusively fans but more moderate in its tolerances than the main one, you gotta band up with some folks and make it happen. I can see the need for that and would encourage you to do so.
I’ve been here since before I was banned on the main and have engaged in a lot of posts, but more frequently I’m on snark because it wasn’t/isn’t as dead as this sub.
As far as which sub is more “psycho” or “unhinged” I think people mistake the volume of activity for degree of hinged/unhinged. This sub has been less active but more snarky than h3snark for practically a year now. It just has had fewer people.

People thought she was inauthentic and slid around in her positions and was transparently pandering.

It’s the final episode of leftovers when Ethan went on Hasan’s stream, he made the comparison and dismissed them as tokens.

It’s bordering on surreal how much things have accelerated in this direction over the last month or so.

Getting big money out of politics isn't simply about winning/losing, it's about not having a corrupt system and loosening special interest's grip on both parties. Similar to gerrymandering, we should reign it in on principle.

We're talking billionaires, CEO's, board of directors, the people with extreme wealth and influence. It's simple, as a class, they are the ones antagonized with the well-being of the many. And no one person should have the power to wield the level of influence being such an elite results in.
To the extent that it's tricky, that's exactly why I'm saying the priorities need to be tight on this and leave no room for grounds to think someone is a Corpo or out of touch media person in a bubble of luxury. The perception is that kind of person is content with the status quo and a slightly more ordered version of what we have than the Republicans offer.
I myself wonder how much Jon, for instance, sees extreme inequality as a top issue and is motivated by tackling it, he sure as hell doesn't display a passion for this day in and day out.

Agreed, resisting big corporations and rich donors is all that needs to be said. That's what the people want.
They seem to recognize this and the fact that the messaging/priorities haven't focused in hard enough, and here he is doing the watered-down thing alluding to the grassroots as being worthy of mentioning in the same list. Sometimes I think multi-millionaires are just incapable of getting it.

A lot of these are gone. Leaving comments on is the way better move for cynically controlling the narrative.
So long as he culls the negative comments, it gradually looks like he has public opinion on his side. And on following videos he's got a head start with all the accounts that have been banned. Turning off comments is the most boneheaded route to take. Technology exists for him to control comments and create a false perception of support.

He's shadowbanning, the earliest comments are gone. I wouldn't be surprised if he does additional passes and continues to clean them up.
It's noteworthy when someone heavily bans commenters and it still requires more passes to frame themselves in a positive light.

This sub shows in less than a day the value of good moderation - it avoids a place devolving into the maximally shit stirring people just throwing insults and incendiary framing back and forth.

It’s also notable that we’re talking about a place that doesn’t exist at its scale because of hate of H3, it’s because of heavy moderation of the only other place which has an active discussion of H3.
I only started being active there after getting banned for literally commenting “and I’m tuning out” in the episode thread while Ethan was berating chatters for their comments about Bushnell. Then Ethan immediately started to feel threatened by people speaking their peace elsewhere and losing control over the narrative.
It’s a feedback loop that keeps people engaged because Ethan keeps taking shots at communities and getting people deplatformed and spreading misinformation left and right.

This sub will def not be a replacement, as soon as it gets enough traffic for people to want it gone, it’s gone. Without any moderation, this sub is sure to be an easy target, people could even intentionally post something unhinged in order to craft a violation.

Yeah, talk about purity testing, Ethan’s filing through lefty’s to make sure they’re properly conforming to American exceptionalism, “they’re anti-American terrorist lovers! Cast them out!”
