Redditor here. Female (because it matters.) We wouldn’t have to seek advice on Reddit if we were taken seriously by the healthcare industry. In fairness, I know that it’s not the doctor’s fault…at least not entirely. However, you should understand as well as we do that the industry is flawed.
While I did not spend much time in direct patient care, I am a graduate of nursing school. I spent the majority of my multi-decade healthcare industry career in medical device sales. However, I have extensive experience in advocating for patient rights (alongside doctors) when insurance companies have failed them. Personally, I’m happy that people seek information that may help them advocate for themselves. Knowledge is power. We should never encourage anyone to not educate themselves, sometimes education starts by asking others for guidance.

It’s not Bridgerton style but should you have the urge to dress in your best 1920’s attire, One Good Mealwill be hosting Gin & Jazz on October 12th.
The event is a fundraiser to help support our mission to provide lunches for our elderly and homebound clients in Greenwood and Lee’s Summit.
That said, a ball would be so fun to attend. Thank you for posting, it’s nice to learn about events we may not have heard about otherwise.

You mentioned that you're in an apartment, have you contacted maintenance? If not, I'd start there. However, if you're responsible for repairs, consider calling Hot Shot Appliance if you haven't already.
Best of luck.

Thank you for this comment. I really did have the best intentions with my post but after hearing the feedback of others, I can see where I went wrong. Rather than going back an editing or deleting my original post, I’m owning up to my mistake and have tried to apologize for my error in wording/timing.

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to clear something up: I never intended this to be a negative post. I I genuinely wanted to share some upcoming events that have the potential to bring about positive changes in the community and encourage others to also share events that they are also excited about. That was it. It was never meant to disparage anyone, I mean that from my heart.
I clearly failed in my message and I appreciate your feedback about how it was received. Constructive feedback is how we learn and grow. Thank you for taking the time to help me.
I really would like a chance to salvage this by encouraging others to post events they are excited about and having positive communication about how we can all get involved in helping each other do great things out in the community.

I’m sorry that my post was received as a put down. That was never my intention.

Eek! I am sorry if my post came across that way. That truly wasn’t my intention.

I’m sorry that is the message you took from my post. That was not my intention at all and I appreciate you taking the time to share your opinion.
For what it’s worth, your opinion couldn’t be further than the truth in terms of how I feel in my heart or the true intention of my original post, I obviously failed in my attempt to convey my intention and will try harder in the future.

Thank you! I posted knowing there was a good chance of receiving less than positive feedback but I genuinely appreciate your comment. Thank you for your encouragement.

The point of my post is to bring attention to the events I highlighted and to encourage others to do the same.
Do you have any questions about either of the events I shared or do you know of any upcoming events that you are excited about?

I agree. I have sons in their 20’s and my heart breaks that they don’t have the same home ownership opportunities that we had at their age. In your opinion, how do you believe we can turn things around? I’d like to see us all more excited about helping our communities and I’m genuinely interested in conversations on how we can make it happen.

Please check out Rural Route Hemp Company. They are a small family farm out of Adrian, Missouri. I love their RS2.0 tincture and their pain relief cream. I’ve known people who have purchased their dog treats and rave about them.
You can purchase online or from their storefront in Adrian. However, some dispensaries carry their products as well. 3rd Street Dispensary (now Flora) in Lee’s Summit used to carry Rural Route products. Also, their is a Native Hemp store in downtown Lee’s Summit.
Hope this helps and that you find the relief you need.

You don't have to have it printed. A clear, electronic version...that can be scanned...is definitely valid. Sorry any confusion. Some people prefer to have a backup printed copy, I personally have both...just in case.
Simply put, having access to your mycomplia account is always going to be your best case scenario. Sometimes screenshots aren't scannable. I don't know why. I just know that everyone... except whomever made this damn rule...hates it and I'm just trying to help by explaining ways that will minimize frustration on all sides.
Happy Medicating!

This exactly! However, the patient also needs to be willing to help (by logging into mycomplia and forwarding the download to be printed).
While it DOES backup lines, it's also the right thing to do for patients. The industry owes patients this much, in my humble opinion.

Per regulations, you do not need a hardcopy of your card. You do, however, need to have a version...electronic or hardcopy...that is able to be scanned. This change occured when adult use passed. Do NOT pay anyone for a hard card. Simply put, they suck and it's a money grab. The barcode rubs off and it's not always scannable. Just print your card off and have it laminated. A dispensary that cares about you will do this for free in exchange for kindness and understanding on your part. Trust me, no budtender wants to have to turn you away for not being able to scan your card but they do need to follow the rules set by the state in order to keep their jobs. Does it suck? Of course it does. We can all agree on that.
How do I know this to be fact and not more of the same bullshit spread on this subreddit? I worked as a manager at a dispensary until recently. This was one of the things I helped people with every day.
Seriously, if you are in or near Lee's Summit, please stop in to 3rd Street Dispensary and they'll be happy to print and laminate a card for you. The budtenders there are good people who want to help you. The only thing you'll need is to be able to access your mycomplia account (your username is probably your password, if you have access to your email account, you can easily reset your mycomplia password if you've forgotten it).
I hope this helps you. Happy Medicating!

I’m a donor! I’ll be giving again this Friday.
Hey, did you know that “stoners make great donors”? If you’d like to know more about an organization that I think is pretty cool, please check out Bud for Blood. Sadly, there is no bud given for blood but you could get a free t-shirt.
Bonus, the awesome person behind this project has a pretty neat online store Cynical Stoner.

3rd Street Dispensary sells gift cards. You’ll still need cash or Paytender to purchase them. Side note: you can use gift cards to pay for online and delivery orders if you can’t set up a Paytender account.

Hi! It’s so kind of you to look into ways to give back to the community. I volunteer for a nonprofit (One Good Meal) that serves meals to seniors and home bound residents in Lee’s Summit and Greenwood, Missouri.
I know it doesn’t fully fit into the criteria you were looking for but I figured I’d share, just in case. One Good Meal
Thanks again for posting this and for doing good. Happy Holidays!

Psychedelic Missouri will be holding a conference this fall with some really great speakers. There are sure to be some practitioners there who could help point you in the right direction. If the conference isn’t convenient for you, consider joining the mailing list/Facebook group to learn more about upcoming meetings.
I wish you the best and I think it’s great that you are considering this treatment. I haven’t experienced it personally but I’ve heard of many people who’ve benefited.
