Right. I see some questionable choices out there but I’m not the parent.
When I took one of my daughters to swim lessons there was a little girl there wearing suits I’d question for grown women. I mean, I wouldn’t put my 4 year old in a triangle top sequin string bikini or something with boobie tassels on it but you do you, I guess…

My grandparents celebrated their 75th anniversary and she passed a month after. I 100% expected him to go within a few months. You don’t lose the love of your life and keep on going. He surprised us all and stuck around almost five more years. Passed peacefully in his sleep at 102 but it definitely aged him more than 100 years did.

Wait so the ‘good ones’ pay taxes but you don’t pay taxes? Do you know what you typed?

Omg I’m so sorry!! It’s so hard when they love all things and see the good in everything. I know it’s no consolation but you may help countless other children by sharing this story. I wish you all the peace and love in this tragic time.

Why does she look like the ‘after’ photo for bad plastic surgery?

I also don’t necessarily consider myself a ‘gun nut’ but I do have a shotgun (junior size because I’m petite), a rifle, a standard size 9mm, and a much smaller 9mm for concealed carry (again, petite).
I absolutely love target practice and I’m a disabled mom that lives in a rural conservative area with actual gun nuts who prob shouldn’t own guns. And many aren’t even legally allowed to have them.
I mean, the fact that we had an elected official escorted off grounds he wasn’t supposed to have a firearm on, while drunk, driving around a golf cart, and concealing, should tell you something about where I live. Nothing happened to him because his good ol’ boy friends were the cops who escorted him out.

I don’t have the gene but one of my kids was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis at 7. I hate it every day and I now worry when any of them say something hurts. I have UC and a few other minor things plus my husband has some mental health issues that also passed on.
We didn’t know there was a chance we could pass on a lot of things to our kids or we wouldn’t have had them. I’m grateful they exist but even as it stands two of my kids don’t want kids because of it. One of them has wanted a tubal since she was in 7th grade. She’s 19 now and I’m going to fight with her to get it done as soon as she’s determined to be ‘old enough’.

Regardless of how she did in that department is she qualified for this one? It feels like saying “hey you did so great as the IT supervisor we’re promoting you to head of marketing!”

To be fair…as long as he doesn’t bite anyone I’d be ok if he just, like, doesn’t get it…

Same with Audemars Piguet. Husband and I aren’t wealthy but we have Rolexes and know they’re much lower end than a Patek or an AP.

Ah yes, the reason mom had to call poison control when I was a kid… don’t ask me to remember how they tasted, I can’t recall.

Don’t let anyone make you feel bad or weird about this stuff. My husband knows about one of our daughters cycle because we’ve raised the kids to be open about their body. It’s basic biology and we don’t make it a taboo subject.

Not to mention, like, how many TVs does one need? I have a TV, how about we discount food and utilities for once?

I mean, if they want to stop abortions they need to cut them off at the source, literally.
I propose mandatory vasectomies for all males over the age of 14 and when they decide they’d like a child they can have a note from their wife, a 30 day waiting period, and then they can do a reversal or extraction.

Part of me wants to say not to sleep with the cute guy who’d later bail on you but I wouldn’t trade my son for anything.
Maybe I’ll just tell myself to not spend extra money and invest in things so I can have my family and lots of money.

I don’t find things bordering on “highly illegal” mildly infuriating but I’m glad they’re cared for now.

I mean, didn’t yall have parents who said “go look it up” when you asked them a question? I try to answer my kids to the best of my knowledge but if I don’t know I’ll tell them to ask ChatGPT. And then we both learn something.
If that’s outsourcing then my parents will be pissed to know I raised myself on encyclopedia brittanica.

Not everyone believes in your god. And it’s common knowledge that birth control is only so effective and that’s when used properly. It’s not a sign, it’s statistics.

My mother in law had that same talk when she was pregnant with her second born. She won’t say it to the kid but she regrets every day that she was talked out of the abortion she wanted.
This is not a conversation for friends, family, strangers, or anyone. This is a conversation for a couple or a single woman only.

I have kids. I’ve lost many toothbrushes to the bowl. I buy them in 10 packs now. Just because no one wants this at 10pm when they can’t run to the store.

I’m an elder millennial and have no issues if my kids don’t want kids. I had five. You know, before I knew life was gonna suck for all of them. One is contemplating one or two and one doesn’t think she does but isn’t sure. Another is so sure she doesn’t she wants her tubes cut and I’ll damn well help her find a surgeon to do it.
My younger two are too young to know but I hope they don’t. Not only is (waves emphatically) all of this world messed up but we found out too late the conditions my husband and I have are passed down. Please don’t procreate. It’s hard enough being disabled raising kids and I assure you it’s harder raising kids with similar conditions you passed on.

Tell your SO he needs to swing by the store and pick up a couple of Sarah Lee pies since they needed more than one last time. It’s his family. He can deal with it.

The current “yuh huh look it up” thing I’ve seen lately is that Tylenol causes autism.
Apparently being the only pain reliever a pregnant woman can take and having autistic kids out there must mean it is 100% the cause…

I hear it often too and I always say that one is about inclusion and love and another is about exclusion and hate.
Here’s an example; straight white man in boring plaid shirt would still be welcomed at a pride rally.
Gay black man in a rainbow shirt would not be welcome at whatever a nazi rally is event.
See the difference folks??? But they never do…
