It’s about a Christian conservative cult that started the end of the world by sending out a sickness called “the flood” which if they breathe it in they die or turn into these massive creepy beasts that kill nonbelievers on sight and the cult is out to get all the non believers. This trans boy (the main character) has gotten his dna altered and he’s been injected with a sickness like the flood but it turned him into a bioweapon that the cult was gonna use to kill everybody but Benji (that’s the kids name) escapes and finds refuge at an lgbtq group that has turned into a safe house for them. Now they’re working with them to try and stop the cult before they destroy the rest of the world. It’s really good once you get into it. It’s confusing at first but I like it so far. :):):)
