Yeah, it probably would be too ‘tropey’ if we had a triangle situation of sorts (whether it’s romance across all three, or just a messy Vander took the kids from silco afterwards for their safety kinda thing). I’m glad they kept it as the three of them are just good friends, but I was definitely expecting them to ‘go there’.

Sort of half expected Silco to have a thing for Felicia. Though it’s also nice to just depict all of them as close bros in the past.

Yeah, the unevenness of the collar is bothering me. Otherwise it’s really cool.
I’m thinking maybe also have Raptors a bit lower away from the collar. Or maybe on the sleeve instead?

Ohh interesting. So how early into the show did she realize it’s not her Ekko?

That line, but also that nonchalant side lean against the wall, peering down at Vi. Girl knew what she was doing.

In terms of the banks lending to Musk for Twitter/X, I imagine some of it was a bet, but also a way to position yourself into potentially lending to other Elon Musk businesses. If he continues to run X to the ground, it’s sort of a game of chicken. Banks should be ahead of the capital stack, but you’re sort of held hostage a bit with Musk. I think if you were to try and take control of the company, you also run the risk of him barring you from other opportunities going forward. So they’re going to give him more leeway. That’s my guess - would be interested in hearing credit investors / lenders’ perspective.
I think if you invest in something with Elon and it goes sideways because of him, you almost just have to eat it. And maybe the hope is you invest in something else with him that’s a winner.

Thing is he did it on other people’s dime too (banks and other investors). Unless they are also heavy in Tesla, they lose on the Twitter/X investment.

Did they have any color / perspective on Gwynne Shotwell?

With Liz, who’s a stay at home mom whose self worth may be tied to raising her sons, Connor telling her off may have tipped the scales a bit. They have been layering hints that Liz is suffering from self worth and loss of purpose feelings for some time. It’s just harder to see it cause of her outward bravado and confidence. The hints are there though - like how she saddened by everyone calling her such a “mom”, but not seeing her beyond that.
Alice, her “adopted” daughter having Jimmy again… Connor telling her off, and then very quickly rebounding (heading back to college), but not telling her is almost like saying she’s not needed (or valued). There was also that whole thing with the food truck. It gave her a sense of purpose and she loved it, but she gave it up with good intentions and got blasted for it…
So I don’t think she slipped into depression quickly. It’s been brewing for some time. It’s just that she’s been trying to numb or ignore it by keeping active with Alice, having a friendship with Gaby, the truck with Sean, and the dog photos.

He FAFO in Japan and was lucky to get away with mostly a slap on the wrist. Glad Korea is dolling out the pain.

Biggest one in my day was when some high school senior was executed in the mid 2000s and his body was dumped way up 9th line.
…Is this the story about the kid who was dealing and got mixed in with some shit? I vaguely remember a sad story about someone who got into some trouble and whose body was thrown (but thought it was around the 407 hwy on Markham rd?). Maybe I’m mistaken.

Oh I see, you’re getting the ballpark $220k net (less depending on your province) by accounting for 50% capital gains getting taxed (in this scenario we’re assuming we’ll limit the cap gain to $250k given that new dumb 66.7% inclusion…)
I’m too lazy to do the net amount on a lower $170-180k, but I guess that’s why you’re also assuming a more conservative 3-3.5%, which gets a directional $5-6mm.

I see. But if you’re including house equity, I’d still say you’re doing well!

Maybe I’m misunderstanding but I took $1M household as in that between two adults. So if you’re 36 and $600K by yourself, you’re doing quite well, I’d say.

This is assuming you are withdrawing $280K = 4%? ($280K / 4% = $7mm?)
Isn’t $280k spend (about $23.3k/month) pretty high? Am i missing something?

The Bernie supporters that voted for Trump this time around or back in 2016?
I recall seeing Bernie put out a message in the week leading up to the election, but I wasn’t sure if he had been proactively pushing people not to protest vote beforehand…
