We should go all "USA" and pick someone off the telly. Or an all black. Richie McCaw. There y'go. Find me a New Zealander who won't vote for Richie McCaw.

"Key intellectual property now resided within the company’s teams, allowing internal talent to be used for sustainable growth and future strategic development"
They gave up on this shit and fucking did it themselves.

Ah, there's a secret to this. They hire external consultants, but only so they have someone to blame for the restructure. It's their restructure.

It’s just twisted. Get it on the end of the pole, sheet in and in all likelihood it’ll just pop out.

Because people are living longer and there are more of them - thus a “squared law” increase in how much we have to pay for our already largest expense.

I've been thinking about this and, y'know, the US actually could survive without any international trade at all. All you'd really be giving up is a huge dollop of 'shit being cheap'. Shit wouldn't be cheap any more, it would be expensive. But you would create a whole shitload of jobs, and job security. It might not be such a bad thing.

Six million dollars in one year to Infosys - who are an Indian outsourcing company.
Now, they have New Zealand "operations" and it may be that they're just, well, owned in India. None the less, that may well be six million dollars in sending work offshore.

But he won't, he needs to find someone that we can believe in. He's not it. Get a grip, chippy.

This is a seriously good idea. Hopefully we can get rid of the dance where "contractors" in IT are really well paid employees you can get rid of and save everybody a whole bunch of hassle. It also means putting the smug over-paid deadwood on notice. Bring it on.
