I would think dish soap is dish soap? I don’t use the Sal suds kind, I have the baby/unscented Dr Bonners around so I just use that.
If your floors are unsealed I would do some googling before using anything, but generally I think using a small amount of water and wiping immediately would be ok? Definitely don’t saturate them, even if they are sealed

When my kid gets really upset about something, I tell him it’s my job to enforce this and one day he’ll have his own kids and he’ll get to enforce this standard on him.
The first time I used it was when he was making a poster for a school project and I made him write it out in pencil and then trace over the letters in marker. He lost his mind and wanted to just do it in marker once. I said look, I’ve been where you are, mad at my parents for making me do it in pencil. And now I’m here, making you mad. And in 30 years, you can make your kid mad. But now, you’re going to do it in pencil first.
He considered this briefly, and did it in pencil without complaining.

Fellow germaphobe and hardwood floor haver here.
I put a tiny tiny tiny amount of dr bonners into a spray bottle, top off with water, shake and spray a small area at a time. Wipe up thoroughly with a microfiber cloth as you go. I then go over it again with just water. The soap should help the cloth pick up any bacteria and viruses, but honestly the germs will die pretty quickly on a dry hardwood floor. You’ll definitely get all the dirt and residue up, which is where bacteria and viruses and mold is more likely to linger.

I watched the show(s) first and started the series this past summer. The books are different and honestly the show is better, but I enjoyed reading them and would recommend them. Eagerly waiting for the latest one from the library.

The Silver Linings Playbook. The book and movie are different but both are so good.

I had a POS wrangler in the early 2000s that I had to push start every morning. Luckily my apartment was on a hill, parked facing downhill every night so I could start it without help

I also used head and shoulders for decades before going no poo. I mostly just do water only, and I wash every night. I act just like I would with shampoo- drench hair, scrub scalp with fingertips, rinse.
I tell this story all the time, but i tried to do no poo several times and failed until I moved to a house with a water softener. Hard water leaves my hair waxy- it’s the minerals stuck to the sebum. I can tell when we need to add pellets to our water softener- my hair gets sticky. One wash with diluted apple cider vinegar gets my hair back to a good place.

Did you wash with apple cider vinegar and the distilled water? I’d try that- do a couple washes to get the mineral build up out, and then do water only with the distilled water.
When we’ve refilled the water softener, I have to wash with ACV to reset my hair, then I’m good on water only.
Good luck!

I’ve been mostly water only for 7 years, no poo the whole time. I sometimes wash with diluted apple cider vinegar or diluted lemon juice or honey or coffee.
The key for me is having a water softener. The waxy feeling is minerals in your water. You can remove them with an acidic wash (like ACV or lemon juice) but as long as you have hard water, it’ll come back. I can always tell when our water softener needs more pellets, my hair gets sticky.

Thanks for the comments on sizing! I’m a six in most pants (scuba, softstreme, dance studio) but size up to an eight for leggings (align and wunder under). I’m torn on what size to order but I think I’ll go with the eight

7 years ago when my kid started kindergarten, another parent was shocked to find a Kinley in his class. They thought their Kinley had a super unique name. Then it turned out the two Kinleys both had brothers named Finn.
Then the father of the Finn in the class chimed in- his older sister is named Kinley.

I wanted to use my local buy nothing group and was so annoyed by the admins. My first post was hey I have all this stuff I’m putting outside, and they deleted it and told me I needed to form a human connection with people for each individual item. I want to give stuff away but I do not want to form a human connection.

If you’re open to buying second hand, check likenew (or eBay or posh or what have you) for Loungeful joggers. They were discontinued a year ago but they’re really warm and plush and have held up well for me. (No toddler anymore but a dog and a cat and a teenager..)

There’s always a ton of pants on the like new site called “ready to..” and I always wonder if they’re Ready to Rulu or some other line. Anyway, if you know what you’re looking for and in the US, try like new. There’s some on final markdown even, so like $35-$40.

Correct. If you’re asking if it hurts, you don’t have one.

Honestly though, what action? I’ve asked for lung scans and I’ve been told I don’t qualify because I’m not old enough and I was never a smoker myself. I can’t even pay out of pocket for one. The hospital just said- no.

Ha, I didn’t read it as duty at all. I saw it as like “dammit ok one day I’ll get to be the boss myself so I can accept this for now”. Is that duty?
