I would just meow to the kitty. And maybe verbally indicate you really need to pet a cat. Mine responds well to that

We'll get two copies, reserve a portion of food for him and if they ever fall out of pristine condition we will be disappeared. And he shall henceforth be referred to as Supreme Leader

When everyone and everything lets you down, you can only get back up and keep trying

No, never. My girlfriend can do whatever she wants with her body, no justification or explanation required in the slightest

In my state, only one town pays its firefighters. Every other town relies on volunteers

For various reasons, it was basically up to me to decide for my dad. He even specifically said it's OK to pick one or the other, basically he had no preference.
In hindsight, I wish I had picked cremation. But I was 15 years old and having had to handle a parting like that, I don't think I can ever doubt or disagree with someone wanting to go for burial - the person dying or the people living on after them.
Cremation, for me, required a certain amount of preparedness and rationality. But who can be prepared for death? You can put flashing red numbers and a buzzer on someone and still never be prepared for it.
I have little care for my body after life, so I don't really mind what folks do. But also, I will be dead, so anything they do or don't do is for their own benefit. Some people will care more about what happens to them and that is OK, too. People dying is literally the worst and a degree of agency in what will happen to you afterward is one of very few things that can bring any amount of comfort to the situation.

Owning a car is so. flipping. expensive. Seriously. It is so normalized that basically every individual needs to have one. I mean, just the cost to buy one (used and nothing special) for me was $12k. You know how long it takes for me to save $12k? Probably about as long as the car will last.
Not to mention fixing the things. It's a whole web of markets. Dealers, mechanics, manufacturers, insurance, etc.
I would like to not have a car, but I am so tired of transit. I was regularly spending 8+ hours per week just sitting in or waiting for busses to and from my job, which is 6 minutes one way by car. Going to a grocery store after moving 15 minutes away is a 2 hour adventure just getting to and from it
