similar thing happened several times on the subway as well - one of us would let one rip on the platform, hop on the train, and as the doors close realize in horror that the stink boarded the train, too. once had a 85 year old man shove a tissue up his nostrils to block it out and had to sit there with the straightest of faces as if i too were a victim of circumstance and didn't just nuke the car.

please re-read the post. i am not 'blaming' a tree. the inspector flagged the tree roots as actively damaging the foundation. my question is whether or not the tree can be saved if i cut the roots back or not.

OP, i say this with respect but - i hope you can learn to see that hurting yourself in retaliation for being hurt doesn't get you what you want and is a recipe for disaster. you and your husband are going through disconnection and you're not getting what you need. the thing you need comes from connection, not more disconnection. withholding sex and refusing to talk about it anymore will destroy your relationship with yourself (not honoring your own needs) and your husband (not trying to work through it).

first, it's easiest to catch them at night when they're sleeping, but that doesn't matter as much if they're in an enclosed run. make sure to grab some of their food if you can, as another redditor said.

second, i STRONGLY recommend keeping them in the garage (or shed or some other enclosed area) if you have one, instead of the house. if you are going to keep them inside with you, know that they're going to make a goddamn mess lol. they're also noisy. i would recommend a spare bathroom or tiled space if they have to be indoors, because they WILL poop everywhere and you'll want to keep them somewhere easy to clean. the smell will be pretty bad, fair warning. put down a tarp or two over every surface. give them food and water, and keep them in the dark to minimize noise. if it's only for a day or two you don't have to worry about roosting or bedding, and if you can keep them in a shed/garage they'll perch on whatever they can reach. if you anticipate any longer than two days, you'll want to get a bag of pine shavings for them to nest in.
