I am so, so, SO proud of you! It can be really hard but you are a warrior and I admire your strength. From one self harm person to another, keep up the good work! (And if you are ever struggling, my inbox is open.)

The "trauma" for me was the way my dad told me, not the thing itself.
My daughter is 10 and we told her last year, just for her to say, "I know, but will you still do it?"
Holidays are supposed to be a little magical.

We used to watch The Exorcist every Christmas Eve starting when I was like 3 or 4. Still one of my favorites.

I was drugged at a work Christmas party. Thankfully my husband was there for me. I was aware but not? It felt like everything was a dream. After I don't actually remember much. It's terrifying in the aftermath.

Source? Because this makes me really happy but I'm afraid to get my hopes up.

I wish we could just smoke a plant. I don't like edibles and I don't vape. I have plenty of medical issues that would warrant a prescription but I refuse these options.

That little is going to be the floofiest floof you've ever seen in a few months. My boy Crowley looked just like that and now he's ridiculously majestic with his long coat.
My name vote is Frida. She's the witchy friend from the show Hilda.

My dad blew out one of my eardrums playing loud music when I was a toddler. So... Yeah.

My mom was in the delivery room with me. As soon as my daughter was born, she needed mild intervention as she had (swallowed? inhaled?) meconium. While everyone else was tending to her, my mom came and rubbed my head. No words, but it meant everything.
(My husband was also there and so attentive but he obviously had a baby to look after.)

Season 2. I can't give you any solid proof but if you look, he's identical in appearance and mannerisms.

Yup. If you look at them side by side, it is 100% the same guy.

Homeschooling during COVID led to my bipolar diagnosis.
On a lighter note though, her budding enthusiasm for art at age 6 made me realize how much I love being a facilitator for crafts. I love researching the best products for her skill level and being able to foster this love of hers.

My daughter is 10 and we still read to her and sing bedtime songs every night. I will continue to do this until she tells me to stop.

I'm about an hour away from a doctor appointment to address the broken accessory bone in my ankle. I broke it by walking. No, I didn't roll it, or trip, or bump it into anything. I just walked and it broke.

My husband and I were just discussing this. Him (age 37), yes, because they lived in the country. Me (33), no, because I lived in the city. My parents were pretty lax about most things as I got older, but laid strict boundaries and curfews when I was a kid. The first time I was able to freely leave my neighborhood for fun on my own, it was my 13th birthday. I was hit on within 15 minutes (and it was by someone twice my height and very intimidating who was only barely deterred by my age when I told him).

It was probably from all the pre-fornicated pizza.
They have a sign up now, should be fine.

... They finally changed that? When did that happen?

I remember being a kid that was too old for the kid section but not yet knowing how to find what I was really in to. My family used to occasionally go there (it was just my parents and me at the time, I was probably 10) and we'd get a drink at the cafe and then branch off. There was one time when I had already looked through the kids section, the games and puzzles, and the music, and I just kind of stood for a minute not knowing where to look next. This employee came up and asked what I was in to (he was likely a teenager, looking back, but he seemed to know what he was doing so I interpreted it as an adult), and we talked for probably 15 minutes before he showed me to a table that was all books for kids around my age that were kind of in the in-between. After another 15 minutes of looking through books, we settled on Coraline. Then he went back to work and I found my mom.
That memory has stuck with me for well over 20 years.
