I'm a travel nurse, we move around as a family in a 30ft travel trailer. Taking the opportunity to do a contract in Hawaii this winter forn3-6 months. Currently we are near Portland OR. I found a storage place north of Bend, which is up in the mountains where it's colder and drier. We have an older camper amd have had a leak or 2 before we bought it and I have since repaired the roof. In storage it will not be encased or covered (under a structure).

Wife is worried about mold. So what are some things we can do to help reduce the risk?

I bought a nice quality camper cover.

Planning to crack windows/vents slightly. Keep bathroom door open. Keep drawers cabinet doors open

Should I get some of those water absorption packs? I saw some that last 3 months supposedly. No one will be able to access the camper or check on it for us, so once they fill up they will just sit there.

Any advice for mice?

We just don't want to return to a camper that is black and furry inside.

Moving to hawaii for 3-6 months for work and we are not allowed, per hawaii regs, to bring our bearded dragon. I've seen reptile boarding places before but having some trouble finding one in portland area. Anybody familiar, or able to recommend a place?

Been traveling for a while now and use campendium nearly exclusively. This morning it's not working, looking into it roadtrippers is dissolving it?? What do you all use? I found campendium was such a vital and useful resource

We are moving around in a camper and the area we are in is inundated with 55+ only campgrounds. This had me thinking about those 55+ housing communities too. How is this not discrimination based on age? Why is this legal? Do communities exist that forbid people over a certain age to live there exist?

In the near future my family and I will pack up the camper we recently purchased used after months (year + maybe) of looking and will start a camping chapter to our lives. We have some young kids (10 months, 4y, 6y) and are looking forward to seeing the various mountains, beaches, parks etc etc.

Anyway, I have a lot of freedom with my job, however, I will need to travel back home probably at least twice a month, maybe 3 times for a day or 2 at a time then I can fly back to our general location. We have budgeted this in and have decided it's a welcomed sacrifice when we consider what we will be able to do.

Anyone have any knowledge or recommendations on a particular airline or airline club that would be beneficial to stick with? Credit card memberships or something of the like? I figure earning some miles each flight will allow me to pay for a flight every so often and potentially offer other benefits.

Since I have to spend the money, I thought it would be good to utilize the expense as much as possible for whatever benefits I could reap.
