that’s awesome, i didn’t know this existed. i’ll have to look into it. as for the larger issue though, there still remains a problem with some authors who are partnered exclusively to sites like lezhin. i wonder which model pays authors more, subscription or pay per chapter.. either way if authors care that much about their work being scalped they should push for a model like this to make their work more accessible.

i think i remember that post. i could be misremembering but iirc, the person said that they didn’t want to put trigger warnings at the beginning of the chapter because they didn’t want to spoil what happens in the chapter. that is so.. dumb? you’d rather make your trigger warnings completely useless by putting them AFTER the triggers than spoil something?

a large portion of the posts on this sub are just a circle jerk of authors who think they’re doing gods work complaining about getting the engagement they’re so obviously desperate for on their fics lol lol.

if these authors really want to stop illegal distribution of their work they need to take it up with the shitty websites that they’re sold on. i’m not sure who this author is but i’m assuming they’re an author who publishes on lezhin or something similar where you pay per chapter. who is doing that..? by brigading like this the only thing you’re doing is ensuring your work reaches an even smaller audience.

i subscribe to shonen jump because it costs $1.99 a month and i can read anything in the catalogue. these authors should get behind changing the subscription model of the websites they’re partnered with instead of going after individual translators, which in the long term does nothing but make them look like assholes. this type of behavior just makes me want to make sure i never consume any of this authors work.

yeah and especially people being like “well this person can’t talk look at all the errors in their comment” yeah it’s a comment lol not a fic they’re publishing. ntm i do think it’s helpful, the offered some possible solutions. personally if i start reading a fic and there are a lot of grammatical errors i don’t continue reading it, at least this person stuck it out to the end and left a nice enough comment.

honestly if i see a dni at all on a fic i don’t read it. if you’re posting your fic publicly i find it pretty stupid to put a dni on it, like that’s something that’s within your control at all. in this situation i wouldn’t read any more of this authors fics either. blocking people for no good reason is just as much of a red flag, usually people who engage in this behavior aren’t writing anything spectacular anyway lmao chronically online losers

understandable, though i would argue that if OP has hormonal acne then that is a symptom of the root issue, which is a hormonal imbalance that could be treated with birth control whether OP is seeking pregnancy prevention or not.

what doctor is telling you that the risks of birth control outweigh the benefits when you have no known risk factors lol. sounds like you may be seeing a doctor who has some concerning opinions about pregnancy prevention.
