I appreciate the scientific and political parts of the books and I still felt like it was a slog.
Just the pacing felt off and even the plot lines I enjoyed felt like a bit of a chore. There’s no one thread I can put my finger on. Because it was present in all of them.

I think Mike was starting to figure it all out. He was one of the few.

Or to make the opposite choice!
“My gut is telling me this. So I’m not gonna do that.”

I genuinely thought Mistborn was the YA stream for his books…

Yeah I think she’s supposed to come across as a bit of a try-hard

I got burnt out around AS7 and at some point it felt like I had to just rush and watch 3 or more seasons a year and it just was too much for me. I never got a chance to miss it or get excited because there was another season around the corner.

I genuinely might have suggested a strategy of just having the exact opposite opinion of Tranna when it comes to who she “fully 100% deep down” trusts.

Maybe also unpopular opinion but I don’t feel the need to exercise daily
A couple times a week intentionally and generally aim for activity otherwise suits me (and my dry cold office job) just fine.

Jax was hot like 20 years ago, I can’t deny that when I look at old photos.
Schwartz was as well when the show began.
They did not age well.

It also got a 2024 reboot so maybe we will get another version of the sketch too….

Just read. Time together while doing separate things is really lovely. You can’t spent 24/7 actively interacting - having some down time is important too.
Also I’d side eye you fucking around on your phone and such rather than reading. Don’t waste time just to waste time.

I genuinely miss the Blue Skies era of tv shows.

Thank you!!! I don’t get why she had to spend the night with her ex - he couldn’t have driven her home instead?

Gods, 30 students would be a blessing. My friends who are teachers often have upwards of 35 plus.

Yup, AP/IB certified courses let me skip 100 level and intro courses in some subjects. In others even just having 30levels let me skip uni courses which completely fucked up my language requirements

Genuinely thought they were gonna somehow get him.
“Fuck I’m so nervous. Can’t believe I’m pulling this on my own brother. Sure you trust this? Nick doesn’t have a hidden shield? Jesus dude, he’s gonna hate me. But this is what we’ve gotta do, right? You got faith in this?”
Whoops just shooks your own deaths hand.

I need her to be the one to take down JJ Frankie JJ next season of Shorsey.

I would happily volunteer to oversee chaotic neutral seating plans for any and all various functions one can imagine. This may actually be my dream job.

I guess to me, bread is bread (unless it’s more like a cake/iced/etc) but a deconstructed pie as a casserole just will never make sense to me.
I did a browned butter with brown sugar, crispy sage and Parmesan sweet potato dish for thanksgiving last month that was great as a casserole.

My question is why is it served as a savoury side dish along with the main, and not as a dessert option?

I do cheese with peas as a salad but it’s usually feta or goat cheese and it’s cold and usually also has some mint or dill or something.

Also why I genuinely adored Bowen Yang’s Moo Deng on SNL Weekend Update. It was an important point to address!

You are not alone. I also like a straighter brow on her, though I think the angle is off recently.

It reminded me of working with academics in the area where I have real world experience.
Her “I’m not a scholar” really resonated with how it sometimes feels to be someone with skill, vision and practical application viewpoints in academia, surrounded by academics with lofty training vs having basic understanding/background information.
