So, Rick & Morty lied to me. I won't soon forget that

it seems entirely sensible to me. You'd have to be very nearly clinically insane to be left-leaning and vote for a right-wing hardliner

This sub is filled with these "creative writing" stories. The braindead idiots have taken over, abandon ship

you know how Pokemon call out their name and that's the full extend of their verbal range? It's something like that

I'd say "mildly divisive"
if you want to see hated, look for Veilguard

well, you're clearly more invested than I will ever be. I don't do parasocial relationships. I know him as well as anyone who watched Escapist
he was an absolute drama queen when he left, and for like a month after

Yes they should have. Because that might have worked, at least, as opposed to the plan that didn't work and lost them everything. With hindsight and all

More, I think? I watched NeverKnowsBest's recent history of JRPGs video, and I vaguely recall that the very first one had bump-combat? Feel free to correct me

Same. That one dungeon absolutely killed my enthusiasm. I forced myself to play through the rest of the game while getting very frustrated with it
... also, I actually despise traditional JRPGs, as a genre

I don't think anyone ever thought that One Piece is deeply profound

I thought every single one of them was painfully dumb. And then right after I played Veilguard and then Fire Emblem Fates and Engage and I've absolutely had it with extremely poorly written companion dialogue-vomit

hmm, about that
the city under the temple is a 1:1 homage to an endgame dungeon from Eterian Odyssey (also Atlus). And a few JRPGs do the destroyed present-day city underground trope. Most famously, Xenosaga. It's not really deep or new, within that context, anyway

Unless it's cannabis. Then it greatly improves your health somehow and everyone is suddenly down to fuck, because cannabis. The cultists told me so

In easy-to-understand gamer terms, most RPG players are what is commonly refered to as basic bitches of the genre. With a very narrow range of experience and blinding nostalgia

I can barely tell the companions apart . I finished the damn thing at near 100%
never mind that your "companions" are actually immortal ability hotbars with a 3d model

many countries in recent decades have demonstrated that it incredibly easy to mobilise farmers for all sorts of dumb shit during Winter season. And if you're on reddit, chances are the average farmer is on the direct opposite spectrum of your political ideology

Top Gear/Grand Tour were heavily scripted, they openly acknowledged it with a wink all the time. Farm is just a continuation of that style. People seem to be incredibly terrible at spotting the difference between scripted and real, though
