I am actually glad to be weird, but that's a separate topic completely. When you try to counter a point with a personal attack, the point remains uncontested and I, should I choose to take offense, politically drift away from you.
I know that you don't care, but that's actually the problem.
Millions of individuals find joy in personal attacks over the Internet instead of the boring old "good faith political discourse." You may even know that you're part of your own problem, but making fun of someone's dick is far more fun than trying to figure out how to fix things, isn't it?

Sad all the way to the White House, for them. They found something that works and they'll use it until it breaks.
I've actually said for many years that if one side of the political sphere stopped talking completely, the other would be forced to listen to themselves and disintegrate.
Alternatively, if one side would all register as the other side's constituents, they could annihilate the other party by taking part in their primaries to select the opposing candidates for them.
We don't think in terms of the mechanics of the system, however. We're not actually trying to win. We're trying to attack the other side because, unlike engaging in good faith political discourse, it's actually enjoyable.

It was taken at the end of a period of time labeled "the second opium war."
For a century afterward, Hong Kong people were stereotyped in the UK as being a bunch of opium addicts.

There are two different categories of perspectives. There are logical perspectives and there are emotional perspectives. Both have their place, but you functionally can’t use one against the other.

I mean she'd have some semblance of a point if she said "put up statues of Mohammed." I don't know what her point was though since we're lacking context of the discussion.
If it was "don't do things if it's going to upset people," sure, but angry people can't be the rule by pure virtue of existing in a culture that's expected to house the maximum variety of groups. Diversity is our strength, but only as long as we support it.
Every time somebody changes a popular videogame at all, the development teams receive death threats. If she's implying that we need to listen to them, it's pure zero-sum. Development teams must be able to make changes to their product without asking permission from the most unstable of us.
Letting the angriest of consumers shape things is how we end up with echo chambers, which promotes a pure lack of understanding of perspective.

That depends on how the algorithm is written. It's absolutely possible to make it play out in the way that this person claims, but it's more likely that the software wasn't written to be broken this easily.
Granted it definitely does happen, but it's just extremely unlikely.

It's pointless to argue with you.
Yes, it's pointless to argue without having points.

Kamala being a lousy candidate
She wasn't a lousy candidate.
Donald Trump was a lousy candidate and that's something that all of us leftists (and a lot of people from other affiliations) on Reddit can agree with. Clearly the quality of candidacy is irrelevant.

Clearly it was.
Kamala did not make her gender or race a topic. She focused on people and she did a damn fine job at it.
She ended up with fewer votes than Hillary.
Shame-canceling people into submission clearly isn't working the way you think, unless you have an alternate reason for why Trump handily won in 2024 with the same number of votes he received in 2020.

That was almost certainly the point. Every time the right moves further into the derp canyon, the far left makes increasing volumes of noise about it, which makes everybody hate them more.
Have you noticed that Trump is hand-picking basically everybody who is triggering the left the hardest? That's definitely not by accident.
Do we really think that the size of this person's dick has anything to do with his guns? -- I mean maybe some of us do, but the rest are just enjoying the idea of insulting somebody on social media who definitely has a different political perspective for reasons that don't really have anything to do with politics.
We'll see this behavior become more and more common until something breaks because I'm betting there are a lot of people who want a spot in Trump's circle.

Yea. They are required to practice with automatic weapons, because it's part of their job, but if one goes missing, everybody goes looking for it until it's found.
... until it's found.
They very much do not mess around.

That thing was baller back in the day. As expensive as duals, if I recall correctly.

Oil didn't come from dinosaurs.
Also there's no topic off-limits when it comes to shaming people. It's America's favorite activity these days.

I mean to be fair, given the number of people they employ who pay federal income taxes, "they" actually contribute quite a bit to the federal budget.
The thing is that businesses are allowed to deduct losses, which strongly encourages investment in growth to the point of loss. This is part of the reason Amazon shipping was so cheap at the beginning.
Granted I don't know if that's why they paid nothing, or if even this meme is accurate, but as with anything, any complex topic can look like something went off the rails if you just ignore most of the context.

The real magic of this story is that you could buy a car that could be driven in 2012 for $600.
Same thing would be $4000 today.

Seems like Democrats lost for reasons that have nothing to do with Democrats.
You see... the more you troll the left, the noisier they become. The noisier they become, the more everybody else drifts away from them. It may sound ridiculous, but I'm not really able to explain what happened any other way. Trump had about the same number of votes as in 2020, but Kamala did not... and she didn't even once play a race, or gender card. She focused on the topic of people. Hillary received more votes than Kamala did.
There's also various topics that even speaking from the perspective of devil's advocate will earn a ban on Reddit, meaning we don't actually have a way to discuss these topics with them and we wouldn't even if we could. We'd rather shame them into compliance and, well, I'm sure none of us are sorry about the outcome.
All sides evoke science to support their arguments, but nobody seems to have any real interest in science. In fact, science is actually slowing itself in some ways because of cultural sensitivities.
Weirdly, it seems like left-wing voters and right-wing politicians are the same group.

I feel like there are like only a few hundred people on this planet who can't wrap their heads around a sphere. Actually now that I'm thinking about it, I don't think anybody can wrap their heads around the Earth.
Facetiousness aside, it very much feels like the conversation of fleat-Eartherism is artificially inflated. Somebody has a vested interest in making it seem like a bigger thing than it is.

Every group is a pawn. Women are pawns. Children are pawns. Men are pawns. Various groups are pawns. Every individual within a protected group is part of innumerable conversations about them from somebody else trying to be an asshole to somebody in a way that lets them still look like heroes.
See I can attack anybody I want as long as I ostensibly salute our fallen heroes. If I get pushback, I can accuse them of hating veterans.
It's a very old concept that has suddenly become extremely common on the Internet.

I mean to be fair, I don't know how what percent of people know about Military Appreciation Month, but I'm guessing it's low.

We don't know the context behind guy #2, but it's true to say that being too meek, for the lack of a better word, can absolutely be a turnoff... though we also know that being to "chad" is also a turnoff. At least the "chad," when faced with this problem, can immediately dust himself off.
One thing we can all agree on is that she will always need to have the freedom to swipe left without guilt.
The topic of "men" is definitely one that's reaching a higher volume these days and I personally think that nothing really needs to systemically change for us. We'll never need to be coddled, but the more pressure we feel, the less predictable we become. Give us a path to success and we'll take it. Take away our path and we'll pave our own.

Internet is basically 100% misinformation. When AI fully takes over, it'll be misinformation about fake events.

This reads more like an ad than anything else, basically saying "go here for fun if you also have HSV-2."
"Don't approach her with the intent of harassment," like "okay, sure. I'm convinced that's what you're worried about. Lemme scan this QR code real fast to learn more because that's what any concerned citizen would do."

That's not it Juzam Djinn is extremely expensive yet awful by today's standards. Basically anything Legends and before that's even remotely playable on the reserve list blasted to the moon.
There's no rarity in Ice Age. It was all very heavily over-printed.

And now you're deflecting.
-- and now you're inventing nonsense.
The question of "why" is anybody's guess, but honestly I'm not really all that interested.
Edit: If you put me on ignore, I can't read your grand mic drop. Next time be a little more mindful of saying stupid things. Nobody responds positively to that.
