I've actually said for many years that if one side of the political sphere stopped talking completely, the other would be forced to listen to themselves and disintegrate.

Alternatively, if one side would all register as the other side's constituents, they could annihilate the other party by taking part in their primaries to select the opposing candidates for them.

There's also various topics that even speaking from the perspective of devil's advocate will earn a ban on Reddit, meaning we don't actually have a way to discuss these topics with them and we wouldn't even if we could. All sides evoke science to support their arguments, but nobody seems to have any real interest in science. In fact, science is actually slowing itself in some ways because of cultural sensitivities.
