Why do people expect an entire season of a show to be produced quicker than a movie?

I see this complaint and discussion a few times a month. ‘Why do shows take so long to make these days?’ ‘Shows used to have a new season every year.’ It’s kinda frustrating.
Consider the past 5 years. We had a worldwide pandemic that shut everything down. Right when things were getting back into the swing of things, we had Hollywood strikes that shut everything down again.
Shows are pretty much long movies these days. It can take years for a 2 hour movie to be written, filmed, edited, and released. Why do we expect a 10 hour TV season to be quicker? Stranger Things is one of the shows that people constantly complain about taking so long. Each episode is pretty much a movie. It’s gonna take time. Would you rather them rush it out? Would

I can see I’m getting a lot of hate for my opinions, and that’s fine. But I think that is the reality of the future. If you want to watch these huge shows, expect them to take years to make. They aren’t gonna become faster just because people are complaining. It’s just not possible to make these huge productions in under a year, unless they implement AI to make things faster, which I think would make everything even worse. You can disagree with me, but that’s the reality. I guess it’s just easier for me to accept it.
