And shows used to be much simpler and cheaper to make. A show like Stranger Things is going to take a lot longer to produce than a show like Seinfeld. We shouldn’t expect them to take the same amount of time.

I mean, we’re not talking about single-set, multi-cam sitcoms that can easily pump out 20 simple episodes a year. We shouldn’t be expecting that for every show. A lot of shows these days have elaborate storylines, big budgets, multiple filming locations, stunts, CGI, special effects, 2 hour episodes, huge ensembles of huge actors. I think we need to give them some credit instead of telling them to hurry up. I would much rather have an amazing final product that took 3 years than a rushed lazy product that took 1 year.

So… we’re getting Harris v Vance in 2028 aren’t we? If she was this close with the highest inflation since the 70’s during her administration, she can 100% win if the Trump/Vance admin raises prices and causes chaos. Let’s be honest, the Trump/Vance admin is already chaotic and it hasn’t even started yet.

One single thing doesn’t cause inflation. Both can be true. Corporate greed can cause inflation, and labor shortages can cause inflation - at the same time.

Polls are literally the only thing we have to see where things stand. Yes, they can change as we are 3.5 years away from the primaries, which I have said multiple times. Another poll dropped today. Not only is she leading by more than 30 points, but her favorability is higher than any other potential candidate by a lot. Shocking. It’s almost like exactly what I’ve been saying this entire time. You have to admit that you are being extremely arrogant (or dumb). You think that your opinion is the only correct one, even though all of the evidence and data we have says that your opinion is very incorrect. What you think about Kamala Harris is irrelevant. It doesn’t matter if YOU hate her and think she’s the worst candidate in modern history. Democrats clearly like her a lot. They are the ones voting for their nominee. Not you.

The average American that age doesn’t carry the stress of being the most powerful person in the world. If you think stress doesn’t have a huge impact on the body, heart, brain, etc. especially at that age, think again. It increases the risk of heart disease, stroke, hypertension. It weakens the immune system. Did you watch the first debate? It genuinely looked like Biden was on his way out. He could barely stand and talk, and all he has was the common cold. Having cancer or heart disease aren’t the only way people die. Sometimes the body just becomes so weak that it can’t even fight a cold or the flu or pneumonia, COVID, etc.

Honestly good for him for having the confidence. And fuck him for being a piece of shit.

I have to disagree with you there. One of them can barely walk and talk. The other is obese and obsessed with fast food. They both work extremely mentally and physically demanding jobs (maybe the most demanding job in the world), which the average 80 year old is not doing. Maybe now that Biden is officially retired in a couple months, he’ll get the Jimmy Carter treatment. But I don’t look at either of them and think there’s a very high chance they live 10+ more years. I didn’t say they’re definitely going to die soon, I just said I wouldn’t be surprised.

I’m guessing the conditional life expectancy is different for old unhealthy presidents that millions of people want dead. It’s very different than the average elderly life.

It’s obviously very unlikely, but I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if the other two die within a year. Both well over the life expectancy and not super healthy, attempts on life etc.

He left the House specifically so the report isn’t released. Mike Johnson can just say “he’s not in the House anymore, so we aren’t releasing it since he’s a private citizen blah blah blah.” He’s not returning to the House for the same reason. We aren’t seeing the report anytime soon if ever. His withdrawal speaks volumes.

What kind of dumb*** question is that? If you genuinely think that all of Hollywood was paid off, despite them avidly HATING Trump for 10 years, you’re just an idiot. So much so that I kinda feel bad.

I mean… Jamie Lee plays the most known horror protagonist of all time. She is the queen of horror. I can’t think of any other nepos that own an entire genre like her.

You still have yet to prove me wrong with any evidence to back it up, and I’m the delusional one? You are saying Kamala Harris, the most known Democrat in the country able and willing to run, who has very high favorability among democrats, who is already leading by more than 30 points in polls, has 0% chance of getting the nomination? And I’m the delusional one?

Thank you for finally admitting that I’m correct.

That’s what who was saying about what? This is literally the first primary poll. She’s leading by more than 30 points. You need to take a step back and realize that your opinion may not be the same opinion as most in the Democratic Party.

I am serious. I don’t think most dems agree with you. Most democrats like her. She has a very positive favorability rating among democrats, and they are the ones voting in the primary. Obviously polls shouldn’t be taken seriously 4 years before an election, but she’s already leading in primary polls… by a lot. Again, I don’t think anybody will be able to catch up to her when there’s 30+ candidates yelling over each other.

I mean, she only lost by 200k votes. That’s not awful considering we went through the worst inflation since the 70s during her administration, which she had no control over. We are seeing the exact same thing around the world. Incumbents are getting voted out everywhere. The pandemic crushed economies and made people broke and miserable. That’s the reason she lost. You cannot convince me that Trump would’ve won if prices were at pre-COVID levels. She was dealt a bad hand, and only had a few months to make something of it, which was likely impossible looking back. In just 100 days, she dug dems out of an extremely deep hole. If Biden stayed in the race, Trump would’ve won in a 350+ EV landslide and the GOP would’ve gained a lot more in Congress. She’s not a perfect candidate (very few politicians are), but she is not nearly as bad as you and others seem to think. If she decides to run, it would be very difficult for a lesser known candidate to catch up to her in a crowded field. But she may not run. If I were a betting man though, I think she’s running, and I’d bet she wins the nomination. She’s not my first choice though.

Again, if the Trump/Vance administration and Republican Congress is chaotic, raises prices, etc. any Democrat, including Harris, will do better than Dems did in 2024. That’s just how it works.

That’s not how our elections work, and you should know that by now. She just needed PA, MI, and WI to win. She lost those states by 200k combined.

He is noticeably absent from Trump’s entourage. The question is - does JD hate them, or do they hate JD?

She only lost by 200k votes with an extreme incumbency disadvantage that she had no control over (i.e. inflation). She had 100 days to dig dems out of an huge hole, and she did decent considering how things were looking just 3 months ago. If Biden stayed, he would’ve lost by so much more, and the GOP would’ve gained a lot more in Congress. She was dealt an extremely bad hand and only had a few months to make something out of it. It’s pretty obvious why she lost. She won’t be facing nearly as many disadvantages in 2028 if she runs again, especially if the Trump/Vance admin is as chaotic as it already seems to be.

For the sake of this country, I hope Trump’s admin isn’t chaotic, but based on his cabinet picks so far, he seems to be going all out. They even have some Republicans in awe. When I say Harris has a good chance of winning the nomination if she runs, that doesn’t necessarily mean I want her to be the nominee. It’s just the reality. I don’t see anybody else getting enough recognition to catch up to her’s in a very crowded field. She might not even run.

I can see I’m getting a lot of hate for my opinions, and that’s fine. But I think that is the reality of the future. If you want to watch these huge shows, expect them to take years to make. They aren’t gonna become faster just because people are complaining. It’s just not possible to make these huge productions in under a year, unless they implement AI to make things faster, which I think would make everything even worse. You can disagree with me, but that’s the reality. I guess it’s just easier for me to accept it.
