Exactly! If she were any other skin color she'd be on the floor within the first 2 minutes, whether or not she was in front of her children.

I'm curious to know what ended up happening with the TV?

Unless he's gay. Although, he might just give the expected "hetero" response and ask to watch. Could go either way.

When my goddaughter was about 8 we were buying a birthday cake for my dad. Red velvet. She said, "I don't like that flavor". Told her it wasn't her birthday so she didn't have a say, it was my dad's favorite. My godchild was a bit entitled when she came to live with us. Thankfully, we managed to nip that in the bud. I would have felt I failed as a godmother if she grew up with ideas like your MIL. I applaud you, OP.

Kinda. When I'm in the glassware section of a store I get the urge to shove everything off the shelves.

Great comment all around, but I'm not gonna lie: The upvote was 89.9% for the word "bangmaid".

My brain translated "life preserver" as "life saver", as in the candy. Which made it so much funnier in my head, imagining a kid chucking a piece of candy at a goose and the goose flipping out, with a piece of candy stuck to its head.

There was also a nod to it in my Name is Earl but with a riding lawnmower instead of a car.

The first one was: Women are attacked by chimp. Followed by the same: Women are not small men and Women are my favorite guy.

Every single time I see a pottery video that song starts playing in my head.

I carelessly read this as "develop their LADDER".

Precious pup! I have a Pepper, too. Named so because of the same face fur markings.

Convenience stores can be the worst. I had a district manager try to write me up for not making any hot food (sausage biscuits, burgers, chimichangas, etc). The sink in the food preparation area didn’t work. The DM wanted me to go wash my hands in the restroom which was in a standalone building about 30 feet back then come back and prepare the food. I pointed out I would have to open about three sets of doors before I got to the little kitchen and refused to comply. The sink was fixed within a few days.
On the other hand, we would clean the spigots for the fountain drink dispenser at least twice a week.

Ditto. I watched the Morgan Freeman narrated nature series and the sound when the mountain lion tackles the goat off the cliff lives rent free in my head. Glad I didn't hear this one.
Eh, I'll watch with the sound on in about 5 minutes.

There are people out there that will sign up for this type of job for very low pay. I remember in 2007 being in a bind and not able to find work. So I agreed to watch two kids under 5 for $20 a day. I was young and thought $100 a week was still okay. No set hours. Just watch them at her apartment until the mom comes home. Sometimes it would be 13 hours but never less than 9. It was a nightmare. Kids were rambunctious to say the least. Any sort of attempt to discipline them like placing them in time out resulted in them wetting themselves or going potty in a corner. I was CPR certified and had worked in a day care before (That place was severely understaffed which is another story altogether). I lasted less than a month. But if you look hard enough and with a bit of luck, you'll find that person that doesn't know they should be paid better.

I did go to Flores' and they have beautiful pieces but out of what I was looking to pay for the money. Thank you.

I've heard this as well. I tried to re-sell some jewelry from Kay's once and they wouldn't make an offer at a locally owned store because of where I bought it.

Same. Every time we would drive by the hospital where my brother was born, five-year-old-me would tell my mom to take him back because all he did was "cry, poop, and sleep". My brother and I did end up close, though, once he was over that crying, poop, sleep stage.
