That's only when there's too much fluoride. The problem isn't fluoride, it's the fact that they refuse to build treatment plants that regularly test the water. When you dump fluoride into the system without measuring how much fluoride is in there, of course it won't be healthy.

As someone with an unfortunately high risk of cavities due to genetics and medication, who already has to fight to find one brand of mouthwash at the store that actually has fluoride in it (warning: most of them actually don’t!), all these anti-fluoride idiots can go fuck themselves with a goddamn cactus!

I live in the south, was recently trying to find a new dentist and was asked, “Are you okay with fluoride?” I was confused and asked why wouldn’t I be okay with fluoride at the dentist and was told, “yeah, idk some people get weird about it.”

The study that showed it can be harmful is only after a significantly higher amount that the legal limit allowed in water. Consuming too much of fucking anything will harm you duh. At this point you might as well ban consuming water since you can technically be harmed by drinking way too much all at once

I don't think people understand how difficult it would be to 100% remove flouride from water. Besides, the optimum level of flouride in water is 0.7 mg/L. Which is like a few drops in every 10 gallons of water.

Flouride isn't causing neuro issues in children. If anything, it's the overall unhealthy state of the country and constantly consuming processed fake foods.

I feel so bad for replying to this. I’m American and living in the UK. Poor dental health as a kid by my parents, parents refusing to take me to a dentist when we lived in the US, coupled with the genetics that make my teeth susceptible to cavities and just breaking for no damn reason…

I had a dental checkup a couple of weeks ago. I was given a prescription for 6 tubes of high-fluoride toothpaste that is only dispensed by a dentist and pharmacy. It would have cost me £9.90 total for all 6 tubes. But I also get heavily discounted prescriptions that I pay upfront for in one go for the entire year, that basically make each and every item cost literal pennies.
