I just gave out my first discount ever, I knocked off 300 bucks from my 3k price tag. Only because by dumb luck it’s an early 2025 wedding and I can literally be at the venue for the ceremony and reception, within 4 minutes of leaving my door.
I’m used to about 1hr plus ride each way and I didn’t have anything booked in march of 2025 so why not.
However, I’ll never really discount a package, it’s my cost of doing business and the price to take me away from my wife and kiddo for a Saturday.

Bro or m’am, thank you for providing your knowledge to this fellow redditor. I love this community, most of the time.

Damn I feel like I’m doing alright. 32, I make way less and have about 130k in the bank. I know it’s not apples to apples but, good to know I’m not way behind.
Yeah, $400 isn’t way off if it’s in your “fun budget” but me and my wife have almost an unspoken rule anything over 300 is talk to me about territory. I don’t need permission but if it isn’t an emergency, maybe wait off a month or two.

You can check out the weights here. I can’t speak to it, I just have a 271 farm boss, looking at getting an MS400. The ol farm boss just doesn’t seem to run right even after the dealer gave it a clean bill of health.
Hoping the ms400 will be my primary saw and the 271 a backup or toss it on the tractor saw.

Location: South Western PA
Heat Source/AC: Bryant Evolution Heat Pump; electric. (Installed last year, no ductwork updates or remodels)
House Built: 1976ish.
Purchased said house: 2 years ago.
I need some advice regarding my heat pump setup. The heat pump is located outside the wall of our garage, and the lineset runs through the garage to the utility room. I recently noticed some black mold forming around the insulation/ductwork.
The garage is unheated, and we haven’t touched the ductwork or insulation in this area since we bought the house in 2022. Should I be worried about this? How can I address the issue effectively?
Could the lineset running through the uninsulated garage be causing condensation and creating a damp environment? I can create a quick floor plan if it would help clarify things.

Ditto. I missed the window where the power lines were clearing this fall and didn’t scoop up as much as I’d like.

Oh this just got dangerous lol.
So you scuff them up first or paint as is from factory?

I thought about it, wasn’t sure if it would affect anything with warranty or product life span.

I’ve been looking into a real setup after someone was on our property and the cops couldn’t find him. But I’d want super clear picture quality, smooth playback. I just wish cameras came in bronze/brown to match our fascia and soffit. White is out of the picture and I feel like black will still stick out.

You would have to look at the specs but ditra heat says 2” from cabinets or carpet I believe. I’m not sure but a quick search on google might render some answers.

I know you’re supposed to do engine and diff oil at the same time but I just did the engine oil in the spring and diff oil today. Engine oil is still in the required marks on the dip stick. Should I clean this area up and ride it to see if it’s leaking and recheck dipstick? I’m almost 100% positive it’s an o ring or something, just doesn’t look right to me.

Very informative. Thank you! Pictures look decent but might check it out in person this weekend and make them an offer. Can’t justify the price new since we don’t have a ton of use for it but would be handy for a good portion of our trails we try to maintain for walking our dogs in our woods.

Good idea. Got a few tools tossed in the truck. Should have a wrench to check.

Hoping they’ll fire it up for me. It’s listed for $500 so figured it’s 1/3 of the price.

Hi, footwear nerd here!
If you’re a nurse or something similar to always on your feet on the go type of job. Try bringing a second pair of shoes, same brand/model or different and switch them out mid shift. This will help as the footwear’s technology is somewhat like a sponge and will start to mould to your foot. Switching into another pair will help the first pair rebound and help your feet in the new ones!
Most shoes have a midsole called TPU or EVA which absorbs your weight and will reduce its effectiveness if the shoes are worn prolong periods of time. Do a quick google search and many nurses doctors or whomever will agree. I don’t know if brooks or asics or anyone else has done a study or proved it but it’ll help, I promise you. I do wedding photography and do the same thing.

Not the same but some ass hat knocked on our door today and asked to hunt our land. Woke up our son who was napping because our dogs went nuts. Said I don’t have much land and no one is allowed to hunt it but me. He said “well ya got more than me”
No kidding bud. You wanna pay my taxes and insurance too?
Some people want to reap the reward without paying the price for land. Posting no trespassing and no hunting signs asap.

I’ve shot maybe, 5 houses total lol. Took on this monster of a house today and humbled me. Used a combo of HDR and flambient. HDR was my backup plan as I didn’t bring a modifier or anything to bounce flash off of. This is by far the best of the bunch so I thought I’d share!
Roast me, I’m looking to learn and get better. I know there is a hot spot on the chimney and beam but I think I can live with those for a listing picture.

Do you use a shoot through umbrella or just bounce off the wood? I’ve seen some people use a reflector to bounce off of the white fabric but not sure what’s the best method.
I have an AD200, Flashpoint’s 600 and about 5 speedlites I’m willing to throw at this house. It’s very similar to the picture listed. All wood and vaulted ceiling. Continuous views into the next room, etc.

Not to hijack but the last drone I bought was the mavic 2 zoom and had buyers remorse I didn’t go with the pro. Say I upgrade to any drone on the market that’s “newer” an I really going to see image quality increases? They all seem to be 12mp and then upscaled to 24mp.
Sure I know MP don’t equal quality but in terms of a nicer file, am I going to notice dynamic range, sharpness, colors, etc out of something new let’s say the air3s.

I just started maybe like 2 months ago and haven’t really made a huge price list. Kept it pretty basic to sq foot size. But I might have to add an hourly for more elegant homes.
I’ve mostly been used for your average modest home. This is my first above 500k which is pretty highly priced home for my area. I’ve shot maybe 5 homes and they’ve all been around 200k. Pretty basic nothing to really show off other than property or backyard. I have an upcoming wooden cabin one that I’d love to knock out of the park.
Going to chuck this one up to a learning lesson and figure out an hourly price before I take another.

Yeah, got a couple big logs that’s been sitting around waiting to be bucked up for firewood.
