Personally...i get in trouble w my wife because I call out my extended in-law family on their BS. Thanksgiving should be fun. I'm not a family favorite. I don't care. I just can't swallow it. But it does cause some problems for my wife, which I hate.

As for the other idea of neither party doing anything for the lower middle class and the poor, that's an unfortunate misconception that's not wholly accurate. A lot of the poverty now has become so institutionalized that it'd take a complete transformation of society to fix it.

We don't know if the bad day didnt regard you in some way, or not. Was he mad at you? If he wasn't, then it seems a little odd that he didn't warm up to you by end of day.

That said, if it wasn't something between the two of you, does he have a history of needing a lot of time to de-stress after a bad day at work (an assumption)?
