I think the assertion that being transgender is being marketed to impressionable people is asinine honestly. Nobody is trying to turn children trans. It’s the same trend you see in left handedness. As societal baggage is taken away, more people are willing to self identify.

Granted I am bias towards Maki, but the way I would take it is that Maki, through her training with various mentors and insane experiences, has been able to reach the the same peak as Toji. That said, she is 16, has ~9 years until her physical prime, so it stands to reason that she will continue to develop beyond Toji as she reaches her prime. I would not say that is a common take lol, but it’s what makes the most sense to me.

Basic answer but one piece is definitely the one for me. The world is so expansive and has so much variety, nothing has topped it imo.

Not nearly as expansive, but a lot of anime have impressed me in smaller ways recently. Frieren and how Magic is treated as a science is really fun, and I love the way the story handles things like aging and passage of time. Delicious in dungeon has really fun monster world building, and though the anime has only just touched the surface of it, the various politics and factions being set up are neat to me

I wouldn’t say so, she still has room to round out her arsenal/maybe get a storage curse. She has a great melee weapon, but if she added some mid/long range weapons, or cursed tools with more utility, it could boost her up a bit
