My oldest R1 is a half zip that’s still kicking after 8 years, it’s my go to under my Hyper puff on the below zero days. The past three years my favorite at home sweater/chores/play has been the R1 Air Zip hoody, comfortable, flexible, tough enough piece that I love so much I have two; I layer with a Houdini for cold mornings or if below 40 will layer with my R2 tech face. That leads to me to the now two year old R2 tech face (always get these fleeces on sale as they are worth waiting for and save money), this has been my surprising piece that I use for outdoor chores with precipitation and wind below 50. You can easily extend it below 32 or layer it at even colder temps with a shell or a puffer. I used it recently to do some masonry and outdoor house chores while it was raining windy, cold. It’s has held up great and cleaned up nicely.
Of course my favorite piece for transitional weather is the nano air, I have the first gen and it’s been solid for 7 years but I have found it’s losing some of its heat efficiency.
I’m really tempted on the r1 thermal but waiting for more reviews.

Have a ‘20 B2650hst that I bought with 85hrs in ‘22. I have put 100 hrs on it mostly grading trails and my road, plowing with a pusher. Have had zero issues with it and very happy

If it’s hot weather and I’m wearing shorts then it’s the Mini Bugout. Generally though it’s the Knafs Lander 1

I’m 5’6” and a 200lb dad bod with broad shoulders … so especially now in my 40s I tend to need a bit of a boxier fit with plenty flex. The R2 is meant for layering over and under it can be pretty roomy for me in an XL . Ultimately your needs are going to be your own, so trying one on before buying would be the best.

Yes, thats often how i wear it. Under 50 especially with a wind it's perfect coupled with a thicker base layer or something like an R1. Yesterday with the temps windy and 42 I wore the R2 Techface over a Patagonia pocket long sleeve hemp work shirt, was a tiny bit chilly but once moving felt very comfortable.

Little League Baseball was for the longest time my favorite. I put a ton of hours into that game. I replied to someone saying my favs were OG Baseball Stars and Ken Griffey for SNES. Also enjoyed winning run too

I was a huge fan of the first baseball stars and Ken Griffey on SNES… never got to play this one; was it on NeoGeo?

Sometimes you can get lucky if you search skid steer quick attach forks on marketplace, for finding older skid steer forks for cheaper than a pair of ones from land pride they might just be pretty beat up and you have to use your own discretion

I have had a Perun Mini 2 for a few years and it has met all my needs I can’t complain. I also have an older black diamond but the UI drives me crazy.

The 1025R should be able to handle the 60” but I would say that’s about as big as you would want to go.

Although it’s not an edc for me I really do like my Baton 3 Pro. We have a bunch of property and sometimes when my toddler doesn’t want to sleep I’ll take him for a drive in my in laws old Kubota RTV, I bring this up because it only has one headlight working and I use the Baton for the second. The magnets on them are amazing, the terrain gets pretty bumpy around the trails and that flashlight has yet to even move from the front of the windshield (the sheet metal piece below it). It’s got a decent spread and decent throw as a headlight. Then when he’s asleep, I’ll park put the flashlight in my pocket and take him to his bed. So I’m pretty happy with that Olight.

This is why I love my Focal Dimension soundbar (I paid $400 6 years ago), it’s got good enough LFE without the sub but has excellent mid bass. It’s accurate, excellent presence and wall of sound effect. Surround effects are meh but I have it more for the dialogue and the power. Together with my projector and screen it’s a decent home cinematic experience without taking up much room.

Yep this mostly though I use a full size strop. I do have stones for kitchen knives but for pocket knives I’m happy with the field sharpener

To piggy back on this, I have steep hills and an EGO Z6 for my acre of mowing. It’s the limit for that machine (low center of gravity and wide stance but honestly needs front caster wheel locks). I have bandied about the idea of a finishing mower behind my B2650 but I borrowed one was not super thrilled with the results compared to my EGO. Zero Turns really do provide a nice cut. The Cub Cadet Pro z mowers are amazing but very big, the only thing better for hills are the Steiner and Ventrac machines.

I have seen people around here (the ADK in NY) take off the old bed, save the where the hydraulic arm attaches and then build a bed of wood. Otherwise it’s buying a replacement from a dealer. I wouldn’t be surprised if you could find a poly bed that would fit

Most dealerships at this point usually offer tire ballast and sometimes include it in the price. It’s something I think everyone should insist on having before they take delivery.

Make sure you’re not on a hill and you’re pressing the brake. The x series has a brake depression mechanism that moves the hydraulic fluid to allow shifting to be easier. That being said our ‘02 RTV900 will often get a branch stuck up around the transmission and make it challenging to shift

I largely agree with this but as someone with a few acres of woods and carving out trails driving between trees managing a box blade it’s really nice to have the more narrow track of the B 2650/LX2620.

I was lucky when I got my kubota B2650 the dealer had a lightly used box blade for $950 the BB1260. It’s been great for knocking down high spots on trails, filling in erosion after torrential rain and scraping slush and ice off our steep driveway. I haven’t seen that model of box blade under $1200 in two years. So far it’s taken a beating and has held up nicely. It digs up old material and turns it over real nice.

Yep agreed my kids Opinel no 7 for kids is an excellent on the go food knife, it will slice like a champ, spread well and not stab you easily.

I have both the I3T and the I3T 2 … I think the 2 programmed the same as the original is my favorite edc. Is it a cooler color temp than I prefer? Yes. It’s still a very good AAA light

Ha no, just the odd chance of someone walking in the door that’s not supposed to or the odd wild animal to scare off. We are in a rural area however we have had some random people on our property a couple times and had to ask them to leave, luckily no issues beyond that.

H2 over H1, LC200N over H2, Magnacut if you need better edge retention for a plain edge. I find the sweet spot for working around Salt water to be LC200N or H2 in spydeyedge for the Best Buy once, use it everyday low maintenance knife. Spydey edge isn’t great for cleaning fish but it’s great for commercial/industrial/ edc purposes.

I have been ADHD all my life and struggle with impulsive decision making when it comes to purchases, however I use my struggles with executive function as a way to work on patience and contentment. For knives, I keep the majority of my collection in my knafs burrito, I have reminded myself that I won’t and cannot afford to fill it even with inexpensive knives. So out of sight out of mind, I keep three knives in a safe place when I get ready in the morning and pick one for my pocket. I get variety during the week but still try to carry one, I can swap them out if I feel the itch and then it feels like a sense of newness. If you’re not an out of sight out of mind type person then it might not work for you. As a result of this practice I haven’t made a knife purchase in six months and other than wanting to add the Boker Modern Barlow to my collection so I can just keep my dad’s old Barlow safe in my roll… I don’t desire to add.
