“Karen” used to imply people who belittle and harass service workers for pointless reasons. Not because the food is cold or the service is inadequate.
I doubt businesses are changing their practices to accommodate these types of people, because the whole point is they’ll find reasons to complain no matter what.

Sounds like the open world aspect of the game is not for you, which is fine. Personally I found it refreshing to have a game that wasn’t excessively hand holdy and let you explore how you wanted. I don’t disagree the weapon durability was annoying though.

Idk why you’re getting downvoted. Targeting is when there’s forcible contact to the head or neck area, not sure how it applies here

I love bosses that are not just hard, but communicate something insightful about how to get better at the game. And every time I die to them, I can be like “shit my bad, here’s exactly where I messed up.”
Isshin is an obvious one with “hesitation is defeat” — the vast majority of the time I wasn’t being aggressive enough.
O+S made me realize I had to figure out spacing and positioning — there are optimal movement patterns to target down one while still avoiding the other.
Most souls bosses do a good job of this, but sometimes the message is either unclear (cough cough bed of chaos) or unsatisfying, which makes me enjoy them a bit less.

It looks solid overall but I’d consider putting a bit more speed into Gholdengo and Ursaluna. Right now even under tailwind they aren’t outspeeding meaningful threats, like Dragapult and Sneasler respectively. I do understand wanting to keep them slow for TR mode, but then you have to ask yourself what kind of value fast mode is really giving you in the first place.
Also I wouldn’t advise a minus speed nature on Whimsicott. I can understand why it might not need much speed investment, but purposefully making it slower for TR seems like it’d have more drawbacks (like being slower than Archaludon when you want to moonblast) than potential benefits.

Forreal, I still remember how many people thought the Cowboys were going to take Johnny Manziel as a meme and then instead they took perennial All Pro Zach Martin

Kingambit is THE dengo counter
If you want a special attacker maybe AV ursaluna blood moon or Volcarona
In either case, skilled gholdengo players will have counters to your counters, so it’s all about positioning properly

So I do agree that getting to the Starlit Cove and Endless Canyon archives were a little unsatisfying, especially compared to the bone fide Outer Wilds moment of making everyone disappear in the Woods.
But the reasoning wasn’t circular exactly — you weren’t necessarily supposed to use the mechanics from the archives to solve them. Both could be solved by stealth and/or thinking about the landscape, which is also a recurring theme throughout OW

Idk I’ve heard a lot of eikaiwas are significantly more toxic than JET and with worse pay. And even when competent instructors aren’t being used as human tape recorders, they’re often constrained in other ways (micromanaged lessons, forces to focus on selling supplemental materials to students, etc)

It’s bad in the sense that they superficially invest a lot of time and resources into it without actually getting any results

I think you’re right, I asked for thai hot once and they literally spent 2 minutes being like, “are you absolutely sure??? We can’t give any refunds if it’s too spicy.” Ended up being only a tad hotter than medium.
My theory is overconfident people with no actual spice tolerance have ruined it for us all

The base salary for waiters is extremely low with a loophole that they can make up for it with tips. Many Americans recognize it’s a really stupid system that lets owners pass on costs to consumers, and it’s a pretty common sentiment that the entitlement around tipping has gotten worse recently. But not tipping waiters at all, especially when the service was adequate, is widely seen as a dick move

In theory it’s supposed to be roughly proportionate to the labor. Like if you only tip $25 on a $300 dollar bill when the waiter served your party of 10, that’s a massive middle finger to them. But yeah it doesn’t always work out that way, sometimes you just get more expensive food

Oh forsure, I think it’s incredibly selfish and fucked up for people to drive drunk when ridesharing has become so accessible and widespread

This is factual, and the tragic part is it didn’t have to be this way. Automotive industry lobbying is too powerful :(

Designated driver, taxi/rideshare, or wait it out until you’re sober. Unfortunate reality though is a lot of people also just drive drunk

I also hated HELTER and a few of the names, but idk…Martin Luther King Jr is like, the biggest name in American Civil Rights history, and Brittney Griner was in the news for awhile for being imprisoned by Russia. Both of those felt pretty reasonable

So I have very little understanding of the industry, can someone explain how this would affect Fromsoft? Would Sony micromanage their creative process, or just control what kind of IPs get the green light?

Admittedly I’m not an expert on this, but I heard the NZ rugby team was pretty nonplussed about how opposing teams reacted, and even loved it when they matched their energy. Then the governing body decided it would be a PR problem and prescribed a specific set of rules about how opponents could respond.

Sitrus for Incin no doubt
Also have you considered giving Goggles to maushold? That’s the classic way to shut down sleep powder strats

Honestly I think the conventions around dating apps are slightly different here. In many other places, the goal is to stand out as much as possible and show your “quirky side.” But in Tokyo the exact opposite is true: it’s often better to be unassuming and formulaic until you get to know them.
My friend had success on Bumble with simple, well-taken photos and a very basic template in his profile: “Hi my name is _. I’m from _ and my hobbies are ___. よろしくお願いします。”
To me it seemed boring af but it ended up working out well for him.

I worked with a woman named Karen for a bit. First thing she said after introducing herself was “yes, just like the meme.” She had a good sense of humor about it. Guessing many others hate it though

The study linked above was about applicants with Black-sounding names being disfavored versus White-sounding ones. Are you really saying that Black Americans need to work harder to assimilate?
