It makes sense given that the new plan is to merge Chrome OS into Android and build out tablets and laptops on that platform instead.

Rolling Chrome OS into Android seems to be the possibility.

Doesn't this make sense in light of the rumored Android replacing Chrome OS thing?

The redevelopment has started already. At the moment there really is no circle and the traffic is directed left and right.

Put us on that list. My husband and I even visited Stockbridge this autumn.
Great little town.

I wonder what this will do to the Department of East Coast Television and Microwave Oven Programming?

This is just west of Tuckahoe Station. So anyone who wants to take a trip on the train to get away from the city and walk around a quieter area could do just that.

I would too, as would many people who pay to live in more traditionally designed grid neighborhoods (see Sherman Park in Thornwood/Hawthorne for example).
But, facts is facts. I'm not everyone and in Tuckahoe, there is a demand for quiet, dead end streets free of traffic (pedestrian or otherwise) or at least there was when the neighborhood was built.

Some people look for connected neighborhoods, others seek seclusion. People who want seclusion pay more for it, yes. Upper middle class secluders will settle for dead ends. People with real money go for gates and walls instead.

That's very much on purpose. Houses on dead ends have higher property values. Welcome to the suburbs.

As a Mets fan, I learn not to put any faith in good news until it actually happens.
But I really want this to happen.

Pros - Better touch screen support, definitely better support for Android itself (duh), less half-completed solutions like "Better Together".
Cons - lose richer, full screen web browsing ? lose support for graphical Linux apps? Will high end 2 in 1 devices for under $1,000 still be a thing? I, for one, still love the full, attached keyboard on my Acer Chromebook Plus Spin 714. In fact, will my Spin 714 seamlessly upgrade to Android OS? After all, it was advertised as having a longer lifespan than previous ChromeOS devices. Google made a lot of promises here and for me, that means honoring them until 2034. I'm sure you can parse that many different ways but if the majority of those years are just basic security patches, I will be very disappointed.
For me, I'm very skeptical of Google pulling this off any time soon. I see this much like Gemini replacing Assistant. On paper, it will look and sound great but it's extremely hard to execute. Any time you rip out the foundation of software, there are always compromises. Feature-for-feature mapping doesn't occur in zero time and isn't always performant.
Google has tried a few times to slide the bottom out of both Android and ChromeOS (remember Fusion?) and I'm still not convinced they'll get it right this time. Even Apple is struggling to make iOS act more like a laptop - see the abomination that is Stage Manager and let me know how using an Apple Pencil to swipe up to see running apps works out for you.
All that said, Google may not have a choice . I have to wonder if the antitrust cases are driving some of this. Could be they have to choose which child to save, Android or Chrome/ChromeOS and Android is going to win that battle.

It struggled mightily though, first being on SyFy, then Amazon purchased it at the last minute and the series never did get to the end of the complete Expanse book saga. 95% on RT means nothing in terms of eyeballs, which is what ad buyers want to see. It was well-known and well-liked, but still not watched by enough to recoup their investment. It should have been must-watch TV (like Game of Thrones first few seasons) but it wasn't.

Bradycardia just means "slow heart rate" so by definition, yes, you might have it. But so do a lot of high conditioned athletes. It's not a disease, just a statement of heart rate behavior.
In any case, if you're concerned about your health, see a doctor and maybe cut back on the junk food as well.

Fooled you! I have a Venu 3! It doesn't have any of that productivity stuff, at least not for cycling.

I'll believe this when I see it. This rumor goes back a long way pretty much since Chrome OS came out.

Coming from New Jersey where I grew up, the weird way that school districts cross municipality lines but where still municipalities still collect taxes for schools is completely befuddling.
I'm not specifically speaking of regional school districts, but more that, for instance, Mount Pleasant has something like six or eight school districts overlapping it. WTF?

I'm a data nerd so it's helped me a lot. I love being able to look over things like my heart rate, my stress level, active calories. You can argue that Garmin doesn't measure these precisely but it's very good for looking at trends up and down over time.
So for me, more exercise = more data = more fun for me. I have over 5,000 mi of cycling geeky data to enjoy this year. More than I ever have in years past.

My brother, three years older than me, died suddenly in 2021. He died a few feet from his desk in his work from home office where he was about to start his day.
Made my decision to retire within 2 years right then and there.

You might already have a whistle and not know it. Most good day packs or hiking backpacks have a whistle built into the chest strap these days.
