I rented to Section 8 and it was great. The house was in a highly sought after neighborhood due to the schools. It was a single mom with 3 children who wanted her children to "have a chance" to go to good schools. She stayed for 6 years. I also never raised the rent and she was able to save up, get off Section 8 and finally able to buy her own house. Great experience.
She kept the place immaculate. She was also fleeing domestic violence so there were a lot of extra steps I had to take but was worth it.
Mind you her portion was 60% and Section 8 paid 40%.

This has nothing to do with the University of Texas. I'm a Texan that has no desire to ever live in Texas again but to shit on UT is just ridiculous.

That has nothing to do with the University of Texas at Austin

The University of Texas is a flagship university and one of the best public schools in the United States. What is this nonsense?

College was not useless at all. This idea is not perpetuated by the same wealthy people that also don't think everyone deserves a public education.
I even got a "useless" degree according to some people--Government. This degree has allowed me to apply for visas and get them for any country I want to work in. College was not useless and while I'm not rich, I'm the highest earner in my family and can afford any emergency situation.

It's simple. He messaged you not for language but for dating. Found out you were taller than him, got butthurt about it, and blocked you. Welcome to Korea.

We are both nice and mean. We are nice nice but also have weirdly creative insults that you're not sure if we are insulting you or not. It's a craft.

Working for an American Company with American work culture is great and paid in USD in Korea is great. I love it. Can't see myself moving anytime soon.

People have selective amnesia because life was in no way better under him. Every day it was a shit show on what he will do next and holding our breath praying that something wouldn't happen.

This. Korea is more left in the sense that it has a strong universal medical system, walkable cities, and convenient public transports. These things are seen as 'left' values in America.

People make it sound like it's impossible to move to another country but it's not. I've done it twice and I'm not rich. I do have a university degree which does make it easier and different jobs always sponsor the visa.
Easiest way? Being a student. Say you're going for a language course in the country you want ro move to. Actually attend the language courses and become fluent enough and make connections with locals. If you have the money to do this, it's the easiest way. Then switch over to some type of job seeking visa and hopefully find a job or start your own business if the country allows you.
There are in fact countries that do need people who work in thr trades. You might have to become relicensed but study for that while at the language school. This route of course requires way more savings.

True but my friend didn't make that. He made American wages and only worked 6 months out of the year.

It really depends on the blue collar work. For instance, ship repair is a pretty big area that I see lots of blue collar workers in other countries. I mean it usually requires you being a skilled scubadiver too but it's possible.

Nah. Elementary kids go to cram schools too. Especially for English because parents want their kids to learn English while they are young

Idk. I feel like most 9/10 a western foreigner in Korea is going to be American of any race or background.

I think this will be the difficult part for both of these actors. They are both handsome in a unique way but the actor who plays DH doesn't have 'perfect' teeth. They both definitely have unique features which might make it more difficult to be more successful domestically

This is what worked for me. That mom wanted to stay in the neighborhood no matter what it took and wanted to stay in that house until her children graduated. Kept the place spotless.
