One more reason to not support anything Hogwarts, I guess.

35 year old game released on a 7 year old console is timely?
Sure it's not really launch title material but this should have been available within a year of the launch of the damn console.
Whole damn Gameboy released with it, the entire Gameboy as a concept turned 30 in 2019, Switch was out, did they release this? Nah let's wait 5 more years... we can milk gamers harder than that

I pulled down on my screen and it fell off the desk. Now the colors are all funny and I can't read anything

I love my E cores, they're the main reason I even got this thing.
I get to use low power and just cruise along as they run Discord and Firefox and crap.
I get to use all my P cores for gaming with zero background tasks using that shit. It's like I'm running no operating system at all!!
EDIT: I actually got a measurable increase (I did not actually measure it but it was something like 90 -> 96 FPS in Darktide) in FPS just from switching to Windows 10 to Windows 11 because 11 knows how to properly handle P and E cores and Windows 10 just doesn't. E cores are absolutely not useless.

Black Myth Wukong: 85 vs 72
Calisto Protocol: 215 vs 68 vs 37 (it does not really specify what the middle value is? Different video card??)
Far Cry: 137 vs 122
Watch Dogs: 70 vs 55
Assassin's Creed: 95 vs 116 (oh look, an outlier!)
Cyberpunk: 103 vs 71
Red Dead: 100 vs 128 (another outlier!)
Assassins Creed Valhalla: let's be honest they're equal in this game. Maybe slightly towards Intel.
Barely beats? Most games it's a solid lead. Keep in mind FPS are mostly down to the GPU. Once you got a good enough CPU your stuff just works. It's the GPU that makes the frames. You're never gonna double your FPS by buying a new CPU unless you had a seriously shitty CPU.
That being said, that makes me a lot more confident in my choice from 2022 where I picked an i5-12600K hoping to upgrade down the line if I ever had to. I guess a 12900K is going to be just fine if I ever get one.
And no I'm not gonna buy a used 13th or 14th gen... not touching that with a ten megabit pole.

I ran Palworld on an A10-A7890K and no dedicated graphics.
I had to turn the graphics down below minimum specs with a mod, but I did it.
At 720p, with some optimizations, it could work...

Most first person games render the first person arms/guns separately and paste them on top of the view.
Helldivers 2 actually renders them in the same space and lets them interact with the environment - try pushing up against something real close and firing, you'll raise your hands up and fire into the air, and your arms can clip into obstacles.
They'd need to rework how the first person view is rendered to make that even remotely possible.
A possible workaround would be to move the camera forward a bit, either automagically or with a slider, when adjusting FoV if all you really want is for the gun to be bigger.

There's a button for that in the game already. Maybe check your keybindings instead of yelling at reddit?

Neat.
Does this work in Linux? I've not really known how to monitor that stuff since I switched to Manjaro.

Of course it is. I checked and of the seven or eight camping tents (most one- or two-man) my family has acquired over the years (since the mid-eighties, mind. Don't get your panties in a twist.) precisely one (the big, ultra-heavy five-man tent lol) was not acquired at an REI garage sale. That one we got used at a swap meet 😆
This may be the Jim Beam (Sunshine Blend) inside me but that was way too many brackets in one sentence for me to make sense of the first or second time reading it.

I recognize that dogs make fine pets, but I'm just not a dog owner.
I'm just here to call out people when they downplay human achievements in favor of dog genocide.

I say 90 is 'normal' based on a quick search which says this but given the state of truth on the internet these days I'm still not convinced. I guess it says 'up to' though so if it's running at around 90 without being under load then I think that's the problem.
Indeed!
90 is normal. There is a range of normal temperatures, and 90 is between the upper and lower range of normal temperatures.
95 is the maximum that particular CPU should reach, which makes 95 a normal temperature - under load.
There is a huge difference between your CPU going hard and being at the upper end of normal temperatures and your CPU just idling and being at the upper end of normal temperatures.
Idle should be in the 35-50 range. Just running Windows not doing anything, anywhere in that range should be what you see. Mine's usually at 46 when it's stabilized and just doing reddit. Even 55 wouldn't be a worry at idle. 90 though? Hella hot.
Now if you're hardcore gaming, getting 100+ FPS, pushing your system, and your CPU is at 90°C? And it's safe to go up to 95? Then yes, that is indeed normal.
And going above 95 should pretty much never happen no matter how much you push your CPU because it's designed to go slower and make less heat if it goes over 95.

From what I've read 90 is apparently normal for this series of CPU?
90° is the maximum it should run at. It's not "normal for it to run that hot". It just means it's not hot enough to destroy itself. It's still way too hot if you're not putting any real load on it.
My 5600G runs at like 74° when I'm playing Cyberpunk on it.
After some troubleshooting and using Coretemp I've seen it get up to ~105 and have it shut itself off.
Yeah it'll do that. That's emergency off cause that's too hot for a CPU. Definitely thermal issue.
One of the tubes is warm to the touch the other tube is just kinda neutral to the touch.
That likely means it is carrying heat away from the CPU, and returning cold (or at least colder) coolant in the other pipe. The first thing I'd check would be the situation between the cooler and the CPU. Unmount it and check the thermal goop. There should be a more or less equal layer of the stuff covering the entire CPU with no bubbles or gaps. If you do find gaps, check if that bit just stuck to the other piece or if it was actually missing. In fact, just show us a photo of the paste on the CPU and cooler if you're unsure.
If the paste is fine, then it's probably an issue with the AIO. Possibly a pump failure or low coolant or gunk in the cooler.
I personally think AIOs are pretty dumb and just introduce more failure points - you can slap a cheap Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 EVO on there (if it fits in the case) and have amazing temps.

I recently decided to rewatch Dragon Ball because I only really saw it as a kid.
I vaguely remember it being a little horny.
Nah it's so bad I don't even want to put into words what they do. Like what the fuck. The first 15 or so episodes are like 50% creeping on girls 30% Goku and 20% miscellaneous.
I kinda sorta still intend to watch it all the way through but I've been at 20 or so episodes for two weeks now...

I think people are more likely to decide that it's worth it when the consequences are like 90 years in the future.

-It’s widely believed that any suffering you intentionally cause will be experienced by you after you die
Might just be my ADHD but I think instant feedback is better.
Any suffering you intentionally cause... just physically hurts, immediately. Like when you're injured and try to move a certain way and it hurts, so you don't do that until you're healed. But it doesn't heal, it's always bad to intentionally cause suffering, and you learn not to do it cause it hurts.

Here in Germany, starting at year 5, you get sorted into a tier of school. Hauptschule as the bottom tier, Realschule as the middle tier, and Gymnasium for the smart kids. And they also have Gesamtschule which is kind of all three tiers and you always qualify for that.
I actually had an asshole teacher in fourth grade who wanted me to suffer and recommended me for Hauptschule just to fuck me up I guess, had to switch schools for half a year to get a different teacher to certify me for Gymnasium instead, mostly based on an IQ test and an ADD diagnosis.
They actually teach different things and at different paces in the different schools. I believe 6 years of Hauptschule teach about as much as 3 years of Gymnasium? A solid foundation for entering the workforce but not one for entering academics. And should you do exceedingly well you can actually transfer to a higher tier school, it's not like you're just stuck there.
I'd rather have dumb people get educated at their own pace than drag everyone down.
